Enterprises are actively exploring its applications across various sectors, including supply chain management, financial processing, and operational technology monitoring, where autonomous decision-making promises substantial reductions in costs and improvements in efficiency.

The HARC for AI services are touted as a powerful solution to help organizations run AI and Generative AI applications with enhanced reliability, efficiency, and governance. This builds upon the broader HARC platform introduced in 2022, which was developed to tackle common challenges in scaling AI, such as unpredictable operational costs, performance degradation, and insufficient oversight of complex models like Large Language Models (LLMs).
Hitachi Digital Services highlights several successful applications demonstrating the tangible benefits of agentic AI. For instance, a global packaging leader optimized the processing of 1.2 million supplier invoices using Hitachi Digital Services’ Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), a Gen AI solution. This resulted in a 91% accuracy rate, over 90% reduction in processing costs, and streamlined exception handling. Another example involves a system that processes over 25GB of data daily, detecting failures in real-time and reducing maintenance costs by more than 30%. This particular solution is a ‘One Hitachi’ effort, delivered in partnership with Hitachi Rail, Hitachi Digital, GlobalLogic, and Nvidia, showcasing a collaborative approach to complex AI deployments.
