TLDR: Hippocratic AI, a leader in safety-focused generative AI healthcare agents, has successfully raised $126 million in Series C funding, bringing its valuation to $3.5 billion. Led by Avenir Growth, with significant participation from CapitalG, General Catalyst, and Andreessen Horowitz, this investment will accelerate the company’s expansion, product development, and international growth of its clinically safe AI solutions designed to address critical labor shortages and improve patient access in healthcare.

Palo Alto, CA – November 3, 2025 – Hippocratic AI, a pioneering company dedicated to developing clinically safe generative AI agents for the healthcare sector, today announced the successful closure of its Series C financing round, securing $126 million. This latest investment propels the company’s valuation to an impressive $3.5 billion and brings its total funding to $404 million.

The funding round was spearheaded by Avenir Growth, a prominent investor known for backing category-defining companies in generative AI. Significant participation also came from a robust roster of new and existing investors, including CapitalG (Google’s growth fund), General Catalyst, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Kleiner Perkins, Premji Invest, Universal Health Services, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, WellSpan Health, and notable angel investors John Doerr and Rick Klausner.

Andrew Sugrue, Co-founder of Avenir Growth, expressed strong confidence in the company’s trajectory, stating, “After speaking with a significant number of customers prior to investing, we believe Hippocratic AI is leading the agentic healthcare category. Importantly, we found that their relentless focus on safety has earned them the trust of healthcare organizations around the world, becoming the safe choice for executives when choosing AI agents for deployment in healthcare.”

In a remarkably short span of just 15 months since its commercialization, Hippocratic AI has forged partnerships with over 50 major health systems, payors, and pharmaceutical clients across six countries. The company has successfully developed more than 1,000 clinical use cases and facilitated over 115 million clinical patient interactions, all without any reported safety issues. This rapid adoption underscores the growing trust in its AI solutions.

Julie Yoo, General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, highlighted the company’s exceptional growth, noting that Hippocratic AI is ‘amongst the fastest growing enterprise healthcare companies we’ve seen in the last few years.’ She attributed this rapid expansion to the urgent demand for solutions that address the healthcare industry’s pervasive labor and patient access challenges.

Munjal Shah, Co-founder and CEO of Hippocratic AI, emphasized the company’s core values and future aspirations. He stated that the new capital would enable the company to ‘touch more lives and help more people while staying true to our core values of ‘do no harm’ and ‘patients first’.’ Shah also indicated that the funding would fuel continued growth, market share expansion, exploration of new use cases, and potential mergers and acquisitions to further scale its offerings.

Hemant Taneja, CEO of General Catalyst, which co-created Hippocratic AI, reiterated the company’s commitment to its mission: ‘They are applying clinically safe, empathetic generative AI in ways that expand access and dignity in care.’

Hipocratic AI’s generative AI agents are designed for non-diagnostic, patient-facing applications, explicitly not used for prescribing or diagnosing. These agents handle a variety of tasks such as patient intake screening, annual wellness visit outreach, chronic care management, post-surgical and post-discharge follow-ups, medication adherence, and cancer screenings. For payors, the AI agents assist with eligibility and benefits confirmations, medication reconciliation, case management, and annual health risk assessments, thereby alleviating staffing shortages and enhancing operational efficiency within healthcare systems.
