TLDR: Google has launched its cutting-edge AI video generation model, Veo 3, for Gemini users in the Middle East. This advanced tool allows Google AI Pro subscribers to create cinematic, 8-second videos with synchronized audio, realistic visuals, and precise lip-syncing from simple text or image prompts, marking a significant step in accessible AI-powered content creation.
Google has officially rolled out its highly anticipated and most advanced AI video generation model, Veo 3, to Gemini users across the Middle East. This strategic expansion, announced on July 3, 2025, signifies a major leap in making sophisticated generative media technology accessible to creators, developers, and businesses in the region. Veo 3 is now available to Google AI Pro subscribers, enabling them to transform creative concepts into high-quality video content with unprecedented ease.
Veo 3, initially unveiled at Google I/O 2024, has garnered significant attention for its remarkable capabilities. The model allows users to generate cinematic video clips, typically 8 seconds in length and 720p resolution, directly from simple text prompts. Beyond basic text-to-video, Veo 3 integrates synchronized sound, music, dialogue, and highly realistic visuals, setting a new benchmark for AI-driven video production.
A key differentiator for Veo 3 is its exceptional realism, advanced physics simulation, and precise lip-syncing capabilities. Eli Collins, Vice President of Product at Google DeepMind, emphasized these strengths, stating, “From prompt to production, Veo 3 delivers best-in-class realism, physics, and lip syncing.” He further elaborated in a blog post that “Veo 3 excels from text and image prompting to real-world physics and accurate lip syncing,” highlighting its responsiveness and user control. The model also supports image prompting, expanding the creative possibilities beyond just textual descriptions. Furthermore, Veo 3 can generate native audio, including background noise, soundtracks, and voiceovers, adding another layer of immersion to the generated content. For Google AI Pro subscribers, a “Veo 3 Fast” option offers 2x faster generation with various serving optimizations, allowing for three such videos per day before reverting to Veo 2. Google has also indicated that photo-to-video generation is a forthcoming feature.
With its comprehensive feature set, Veo 3 positions Google as a formidable competitor to other leading generative video models, notably OpenAI’s Sora, in the race to dominate the AI-powered content creation landscape.
In line with Google’s commitment to responsible AI development, all videos generated by Veo 3 incorporate a SynthID watermark. This secure digital marker serves to identify content as AI-generated, promoting transparency. Google has also begun rolling out the SynthID Detector to select testers, with plans for broader access in the future. Additionally, a visible watermark will be present on all generated videos, with the exception of those created by Ultra members using Flow, Google’s dedicated tool for AI filmmakers.
Access to Veo 3 is primarily for Google AI Pro subscribers, who can begin creating AI-enhanced video content immediately through the Gemini app. While Pro members receive a daily quota for “Veo 3 Fast” generations, Ultra subscribers, priced at $249.99 per month, benefit from higher usage limits and access via both the Gemini app and website, along with enhanced integration with the Flow app. This tiered access strategy aims to cater to a wide range of users, from casual creators to professional filmmakers.
