New Delhi, India – Google has announced the selection of 20 promising Indian startups for the second edition of its highly anticipated ‘Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First’ program. This initiative, designed to empower homegrown app-based ventures, aims to accelerate their growth by deeply integrating artificial intelligence into their core operations and products. The chosen startups were selected from a competitive pool of over 1,030 applications, underscoring the vibrant innovation within India’s startup ecosystem.
The three-month, equity-free accelerator program will provide the selected companies with unparalleled support. Participants will gain access to Google’s cutting-edge AI tools, receive personalized mentorship from industry leaders, and benefit from dedicated support from Google’s expert engineers and researchers. The curriculum is comprehensive, offering guidance across various domains including generative AI, cloud infrastructure, Android development, web technologies, product strategy, design leadership, and growth hacking.
The program specifically targets AI-first startups based in India that are in the Seed to Series A funding stages and are focused on building core AI products, applications, or foundational models. Eligibility criteria also require startups to have a published app on the Google Play Store and be incorporated in India. Paul Ravindranath, Program Manager, Google for Startups Accelerator India, emphasized these requirements, stating, “To be eligible, startups must have a published app on the Play Store, be incorporated in India, and have secured funding between the Seed and Series A stages.”
This second cohort builds upon the success of the first, which saw significant advancements in technology, design, and user engagement among its participants. The current program, backed by Google Play and conducted in collaboration with the MeitY Startup Hub, highlights Google’s commitment to fostering innovation in India. Google describes India’s startup and developer ecosystem as a “hotbed of innovation” and expresses pride in contributing to its growth.
The 20 startups selected for this prestigious program are: Nawgati, BigOHealth, DeepVisionTech.AI, Dot9 Games, FitBuddy, FrontPage, GenWise, GoSats, Highbrow Interactive, Kindlife, LetsEndorse, MySivi, QuitSure, Sub-K, Sunfox, Testline, TimePass, TrueFan AI, and Vidyakul. These companies represent diverse sectors, all leveraging AI to create impactful solutions.
