Gong Unifies Enterprise AI Agents with New Model Context Protocol Support

TLDR: Gong, a leading revenue AI platform, has introduced Model Context Protocol (MCP) support to enable seamless data and context sharing between its platform and other major enterprise AI systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Salesforce. This initiative aims to combat AI fragmentation by allowing AI agents to access a complete view of the customer journey, thereby enhancing their effectiveness and unifying the revenue stack.

SAN FRANCISCO and AUSTIN, Texas – October 21, 2025 – At its annual ‘Gong Celebrate’ event, Gong, a pioneer in revenue AI, announced a significant advancement in enterprise AI interoperability with the introduction of Model Context Protocol (MCP) support. This strategic move is designed to formalize a crucial level of data and context sharing across its ecosystem, enabling customers to deploy highly effective agentic AI systems that can operate seamlessly across leading enterprise platforms, including HubSpot, Microsoft, and Salesforce.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) addresses a critical industry challenge: AI fragmentation. Currently, the effectiveness of AI agents is often limited by their siloed data access, preventing them from orchestrating tasks or making informed decisions based on a comprehensive view of the customer journey. Gong’s new MCP support facilitates a two-way intelligence flow, aiming to unify the entire revenue stack.

Key components of this new support include the MCP Gateway and the MCP Server. The MCP Gateway enhances Gong’s capabilities by seamlessly integrating external data and workflows from partners into its internal features, such as AI Briefer and AI Ask Anything. Conversely, the MCP Server empowers external AI agents, like those embedded in Salesforce or Microsoft Copilot, to directly query Gong. This ensures that revenue teams can leverage Gong’s critical customer and deal intelligence precisely where they work, eliminating the need to switch between applications.

Eran Aloni, EVP Product Strategy and Ecosystem at Gong, emphasized the impact of this innovation, stating, “With the new MCP support, customers will be able to leverage Gong’s data, insights, and AI agents directly within their existing revenue stack. This new AI interoperability ecosystem delivers the flexibility and added intelligence to help revenue teams orchestrate their mission-critical revenue motions in the way that is most compatible with their business.”

This initiative is a direct response to the growing need for AI systems to communicate and share context effectively across diverse applications. By providing a standardized framework, MCP enhances the relevance and context-awareness of AI applications, moving beyond the need for custom coding for each dataset. It promotes a modular, component-based architecture, fostering greater flexibility, scalability, and interoperability within the AI ecosystem.

Beyond MCP, Gong also unveiled other innovations at ‘Gong Celebrate’ as part of its Revenue AI Operating System. These include the AI Data Extractor agent, which automatically creates and populates CRM fields based on captured customer interactions, significantly reducing manual data entry for sales representatives. These new capabilities are designed to improve sales reps’ productivity by as much as 2x, streamline workflows, and provide deeper insights into pipeline and deal health.
