Shenzhen, China – September 11, 2025 – The ‘AloT Innovative Application Ecosystem Summit (WAIA-IOTE 2025)’ successfully concluded today at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, marking a significant milestone in charting a new future for intelligent connectivity. The prestigious event, co-organized by the World AI & IoT Innovation Alliance (WAIA Alliance) and UlinkMedia, convened a diverse assembly of industry leaders, policymakers, scholars, and corporate representatives from more than ten countries and regions, including Italy, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, Spain, Dubai, Singapore, India, Vietnam, and China.
The summit served as a pivotal platform for in-depth discussions on the latest AIoT applications and emerging trends across critical sectors such as retail, logistics, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, and agriculture. A core focus was placed on fostering global cooperation, which culminated in the signing of several key agreements aimed at accelerating worldwide AIoT market integration and industrial collaboration.
The opening ceremony, held at 14:00, featured insightful addresses from prominent figures. Weiqi Yang (William Yang), Co-Chairman of WAIA, underscored the imperative for global collaboration in AIoT innovation and the seamless integration of industry and finance. Following him, Secretary-General Steffi Sun articulated WAIA’s strategic role in propelling the global AIoT ecosystem forward.
International guests provided valuable perspectives on regional market demands and collaborative models. Alessandro Bassi, President of IoT Italy, shared his expertise on the European AIoT ecosystem and highlighted pathways for green transformation within the manufacturing sector, emphasizing the crucial role of IoT technologies in achieving sustainable development. Salvatore Cimmino, Co-Founder of AIoT Canada, discussed Canada’s innovative contributions to the global AIoT landscape and advocated for enhanced Sino-Canadian cooperation, particularly in areas like hardware supply chains and advanced AI algorithms. Zihang Yin, an expert from the Industrial Internet and IoT Institute, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), presented a comprehensive overview of the core value and practical advancements of Digital Product Passports (DPP) in streamlining global trade. Spencer Liang, Chairman of the Taiwan Generative AI Association, also contributed to the rich exchange of ideas.
The summit concluded with the highly anticipated WAIA International Supply-Demand Matchmaking Session, a dynamic forum where buyers, suppliers, and service providers from around the world engaged in direct negotiations covering a wide spectrum of AI + IoT technologies, products, project needs, and scenario matching. The event wrapped up with an international networking reception, attended by over a hundred global buyers, featuring addresses from representatives such as John Tay of the Malaysian Change Maker Association and Spencer Liang, who expressed optimism for deeper long-term communication and industrial collaboration.
