The 2025 AI Agent Global Special Competition, a pivotal component of the National Artificial Intelligence Application Scenario Innovation Challenge, is currently underway, drawing widespread interest and participation from AI elites globally.
This prestigious event is jointly organized by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and co-hosted by the National Artificial Intelligence Application Scenario Innovation Challenge Organizing Committee, the International Artificial Intelligence and Computing Power Standards Association, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). Additional support comes from the China Internet Social Organizations Federation, China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Purple Mountain Laboratories, Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, and the Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Alliance.
The competition’s primary objective is to propel AI Agent technology from theoretical research into practical industrial applications, fostering deep integration and innovative deployment across various sectors. Organizers aim to ‘catalyze a batch of phenomenal AI Agent products that can quickly enter commercial application scenarios, and unite advantageous industry partners to build an open, collaborative, and innovative AI Agent ecosystem, assisting various industries in achieving intelligent transformation and high-quality development.’ The challenge seeks to address cutting-edge application demands such as intelligent autonomous decision-making, complex task automation, efficient human-computer collaboration, multi-modal data fusion processing, and cross-domain knowledge reasoning and application.
The competition features three distinct themes designed to encourage diverse innovations:
1. Traditional Chinese Culture and Health Intelligent Agents: This track focuses on integrating traditional Chinese wisdom (such as I Ching) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theories with AI technology to build intelligent systems for life services and grand health. Innovations include constructing TCM knowledge graphs, developing full-cycle health management intelligent agents, and optimizing AI agent inference efficiency based on domestic computing platforms for localized deployment in grassroots medical and elderly care facilities.
2. Real-time Quantitative Trading Intelligent Agents: This theme targets the broader financial trading market, aiming to build intelligent trading decision systems using AI Agents and high-frequency data processing. Participants are encouraged to innovate in cross-market data semantic parsing, adaptive trading strategy generation engines, and real-time risk control and decision optimization systems.
3. Hyper-modal Cultural and Creative Content Generation Engine: This track challenges participants to create intelligent content creation systems that transcend traditional media boundaries using AI Agents and multi-modal generation technology. Key areas of innovation include cross-modal content semantic alignment, intelligent cultural IP incubation systems, and immersive experience scene construction.
The competition structure includes both ‘open scenario’ and ‘industry proposition’ modes, with a goal to solicit no less than 100 AI Agent application innovation projects globally, centered in Shenzhen. The timeline for the competition is as follows:
Participant Registration: Opened on July 21, 2025, and closes on August 31, 2025.
Online Selection – Points Race: Scheduled for September 2025. The organizing committee will conduct formal reviews and comprehensive evaluations, with final scores comprising basic points from expert reviews and bonus points from public voting. The top 50 projects will advance to the semi-finals by September 30, 2025.
Special Advancement – Offline Roadshow Semi-finals: Two semi-final events will be held in October and December 2025, with projects competing across three categories: University Seed Group, Enterprise Startup Group, and Enterprise Growth Group. Awards will be given for special, first, and second prizes in each semi-final.

The competition is open to various teams, including university students (University Seed Group), early-stage enterprises (Enterprise Startup Group), and established growth-stage enterprises (Enterprise Growth Group), each with specific eligibility criteria regarding registration status, team size, and project maturity. This comprehensive approach ensures a wide array of innovative AI Agent solutions are brought to the forefront, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for future AI development.
