Berlin-based AI agent startup N8n is at the epicenter of a fierce venture capital bidding war, with its valuation experiencing an exponential rise from approximately $350 million to an impressive $2.3 billion in a mere four months. This dramatic increase underscores the intense investor interest and high demand for innovative AI tools that streamline business operations.
The latest funding round, which is anticipated to raise hundreds of millions of euros, is being spearheaded by venture capital giant Accel. Accel successfully outmaneuvered other prominent firms, including Insight Partners, to secure the lead position in this highly sought-after investment. Meritech Capital, a Palo Alto-based firm, is also expected to participate in the round.
Founded in 2019, N8n has distinguished itself by offering open-source software for workflow automation powered by AI agents. These ‘digital employees’ are designed to autonomously perform a wide array of tasks, from processing orders to generating comprehensive reports, without requiring users to write code. This focus on AI agents positions N8n at what many consider the next frontier of artificial intelligence, following the widespread adoption of chatbots.
N8n’s rapid ascent is further evidenced by its significant growth metrics. The company’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) has surpassed $40 million, representing more than a quintupling of its revenue. This growth follows a previous valuation of €300 million in the spring of 2025, when it secured funding from Highland Europe. The startup has also successfully onboarded major enterprise clients, including telecommunications giant Vodafone and food delivery service Delivery Hero SE.
