Shanghai, China – Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) and the Chinese artificial intelligence startup StepFun have jointly unveiled the next-generation Agent OS intelligent cockpit at the 2025 World AI Conference in Shanghai. This new system is being hailed as the automotive industry’s first AI-driven car cockpit, marking a significant leap in in-car artificial intelligence and user experience.
The Agent OS is built upon StepFun’s Step-Audio end-to-end voice large language model. According to StepFun, this foundational technology enables a more natural, human-like, and emotionally nuanced interaction experience within the vehicle’s cockpit. The system is designed to accurately capture and comprehend the user’s current emotions, and subsequently simulate real-life emotions and styles in its conversational responses.
A key feature of the Agent OS is its memory capabilities. It can recall user preferences, gender, age, and other personalized information, allowing for more tailored and relevant responses in subsequent interactions. This personalized approach aims to enhance the overall user experience by making the in-car AI feel more like a true co-pilot.
