New Delhi, August 18, 2025 – EY India today officially announced the strategic appointment of Gaurav Bhalotia as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This key leadership addition comes at a pivotal time as EY India intensifies its focus on leveraging advanced technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), to deliver cutting-edge solutions to its clients across various industries.
In his new capacity, Bhalotia will spearhead EY India’s innovation and technology strategy. His primary responsibilities will include collaborating closely with client service and product teams to enhance and expand the firm’s software-driven solutions, often referred to as ‘digital assets’. The firm’s strategic direction under Bhalotia will heavily emphasize the acceleration of AI-powered and technology-led business solutions, aimed at assisting clients in navigating the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Bhalotia brings a wealth of experience, spanning over two decades in technology leadership, large-scale systems, machine learning, and product strategy. Prior to joining EY India, he served as the Chief Technology Officer at Udaan, a prominent B2B e-commerce platform, where he was instrumental in leading product, engineering, data science, design, and infrastructure, building a robust technological backbone that facilitated rapid scaling. His extensive career also includes a significant tenure as Vice President of Engineering at Flipkart, where he played a crucial role in shaping the company’s early technology ecosystem, including customer platforms and product stacks for discovery, web, and merchandising. Furthermore, Bhalotia founded FindMyHealth, a personalized wellness platform, and has actively advised and invested in several early-stage startups. He commenced his professional journey with Oracle in the United States after completing his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, and he holds a BTech from IIT Bombay.
