EY GDS Philippines Targets 10,000 Workforce and Advances AI Integration in 10th Anniversary Expansion

MANILA, Philippines – EY Global Delivery Services (EY GDS) Philippines is embarking on a significant expansion, aiming to grow its employee base to 10,000 professionals in Manila and Cebu within the next five years. This announcement coincides with the firm’s 10th anniversary of operations in the Philippines, highlighting its evolution into a key technology hub and global talent center within the professional services and IT-BPM sectors.

Denchu Jose Decino, President of Ernst & Young Global Services (Philippines), Inc., and EY GDS Philippines Location Leader, emphasized that this expansion is a ‘launchpad for our future.’ The growth is fueled by global demand for service workers and a strategic vision to ‘double our impact’ across all service lines, including tax, assurance, consulting, and EY-Parthenon services.

At the core of EY GDS Philippines’ future strategy is the pervasive integration of Artificial Intelligence. The company reports that nearly all its professionals have undergone AI training, with over a thousand AI specialists now actively deploying the technology in areas such as Tax, Risk, and Finance. The firm’s proprietary EY.ai Agentic Platform is instrumental in this transformation, introducing domain-tuned copilots and task-specific agents to enhance speed, accuracy, and insights for clients.
