Exabeam, a global leader in intelligence and automation for security operations, has announced a significant expansion of its Exabeam Nova platform with the introduction of the Exabeam Nova Advisor Agent. This new AI capability, unveiled as part of the July 2025 release, is specifically engineered to empower Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) by providing them with actionable business insights derived from their security data.
Traditionally, AI in cybersecurity has predominantly focused on analyzing and responding to alerts. However, Exabeam’s latest innovation aims to transcend this reactive approach. Steve Wilson, Chief AI and Product Officer at Exabeam, highlighted this shift, stating, “AI in cybersecurity has been mostly about analyzing and responding to alerts, but that’s not enough anymore. Exabeam Nova has expanded to become something larger. It’s the first and only AI system that includes an agent built for the CISO.”
The Exabeam Nova Advisor Agent is embedded within Exabeam’s Outcomes Navigator and is described as the industry’s first AI capability designed to convert intricate security data into a defensible strategy for the boardroom. It addresses the long-standing challenge CISOs face in translating complex security metrics into business-relevant terms, which often hinders their ability to demonstrate risk reduction, prove the value of security investments, and showcase measurable progress.
Key capabilities of the Nova Advisor Agent include the automatic generation of data-backed strategic plans. These plans leverage daily security posture assessments, MITRE ATT&CK coverage, and an organization’s internal security data. The agent also excels at identifying weaknesses in detection capabilities, highlighting misconfigurations, and prioritizing areas for improvement. Furthermore, it enables ‘what-if’ analyses, allowing security leaders to model the potential impact of proposed security enhancements and tools, and provides day-to-day benchmarking to monitor progress and align efforts with broader organizational objectives.
