Unveiled on August 7-8, 2025, these advancements are set to redefine how retail investors engage with financial markets, providing them with tools and insights traditionally reserved for institutional players.
At the core of this rollout is a new public API-based marketplace, designed to foster a community-driven environment where users can build, publish, and share custom trading tools. This initiative aims to democratize innovation, allowing eToro’s vetted ‘Popular Investors’—a group of top traders whose strategies are replicated via the CopyTrader system—to leverage AI for creating bespoke applications, trading algorithms, dashboards, and sophisticated risk management tools. These capabilities include automated trade execution, seamless integration of real-time market data, advanced portfolio optimization, robust backtesting functionalities, and customizable social feed interactions.
Further enhancing the user experience, eToro has introduced ‘Tori,’ an AI-powered conversational assistant. Tori is designed to interact with users in natural language, offering personalized insights, answering investment-related questions, and guiding them through the platform. According to eToro, Tori will continuously evolve with the platform, serving as a foundational element for future innovations and supporting investors in their educational and decision-making processes.
In addition to the AI tools and Tori, eToro has launched ‘Alpha Portfolios,’ a series of seven quant-style strategies. These portfolios are built using eToro’s proprietary retail trading data, aiming to bring hedge-fund-level insights to everyday users.
