Doctronic Secures $20 Million Series A Funding to Advance AI-Driven Healthcare Accessibility

TLDR: Doctronic, an AI-powered healthcare platform, has successfully raised $20 million in Series A funding, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. This significant investment will fuel the expansion of its services, accelerate partnerships with healthcare providers and payers, and further develop its multi-agent AI system to deliver instant, affordable, and personalized healthcare to a wider American population.

New York, NY – September 19, 2025 – Doctronic, a pioneering AI-native healthcare platform, today announced it has closed a $20 million Series A funding round. The investment was spearheaded by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with notable participation from Union Square Ventures, Tusk Ventures, Mantis VC, Seven Stars, and a roster of prominent angel investors including Dr. Fei-Fei Li, Jay Desai, and Scott Belsky.

This substantial capital injection is earmarked to significantly expand Doctronic’s services, accelerate its mission to provide instant, affordable, and personalized healthcare, and further enhance its sophisticated multi-agent AI system. The company aims to address critical gaps in primary care accessibility across the United States, where patients often face weeks-long waits to see a doctor.

Founded by Dr. Adam Oskowitz and Matt Pavelle, Doctronic leverages generative AI to offer 24/7 access to an ‘AI doctor,’ providing personalized, anonymous health advice and virtual consultations with licensed physicians for as low as $39. The platform’s unique ‘agentic architecture’ combines specialized AI agents with robust clinical oversight, enabling it to deliver symptom explanations, likelihood-based assessments, and detailed plans, including SOAP notes for healthcare providers, within minutes.

Doctronic has already demonstrated remarkable growth and user trust, having facilitated over 15 million medical conversations with more than 1 million users. Currently, the platform handles approximately 50,000 visits per week. Dr. Adam Oskowitz, co-founder of Doctronic, highlighted the platform’s efficiency, stating, “Whether you are in rural Montana or New York City, it still takes over three weeks to see a primary care doctor, and in many cases a lot more. With Doctronic, the average time to chat with our AI and see one of our clinicians is less than 20 minutes.”

Faraz Fatemi, Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, expressed strong confidence in Doctronic’s potential. “Doctronic is scaling at a pace that makes it clear the future of healthcare will be AI-driven,” Fatemi remarked. “What sets them apart is far more than just speed or convenience, but a fundamentally unique agentic architecture that pairs collective AI intelligence with real clinical oversight. That combination makes Doctronic the trusted front door for millions of patients and positions them to define what next-gen healthcare looks like in America.”
