Tokyo, Japan – July 7, 2025 – The domestic Dentsu Group today announced the official launch of the ‘dentsu Japan AI Center,’ a pivotal cross-group organization designed to spearhead AI development and utilization across its operations and for its clients. This strategic move, effective July 7, 2025, consolidates the expertise of approximately 1,000 AI specialists from five key Dentsu Group companies: DENTSU INC., DENTSU DIGITAL INC., SEPTENI HOLDINGS CO., LTD., DENTSU SOKEN INC., and IGNITION POINT Inc.
The establishment of the dentsu Japan AI Center marks a significant step in Dentsu’s ambition to evolve into an ‘AI-native company.’ The center’s primary objective is to accelerate corporate transformation through the pervasive integration of AI, ultimately delivering enhanced value to both clients and society at large. This initiative is a core component of Dentsu’s unique AI strategy, ‘AI For Growth,’ which emphasizes combining human intelligence with AI capabilities to foster growth for clients and society.
The new center is structured with several specialized units to address various facets of AI integration and innovation. One key component is the ‘AI & Data Infrastructure Enhancement Unit,’ tasked with strengthening and expanding Dentsu Japan’s proprietary AI data infrastructure. This includes leveraging advanced models like the ‘People Model,’ a large-scale consumer data-based AI model that represents a population of 100 million, to establish cutting-edge foundations for AI utilization.
Another crucial unit is the ‘AI Marketing Transformation (AIMX) Unit,’ which will focus on supporting clients in the development and implementation of AI agents for their marketing operations. This unit is designed to provide end-to-end support, from initial business consulting and strategy formulation to the actual development and implementation, aiming for simultaneous advancements in marketing sophistication, efficiency, and speed.
