Dayforce Leverages Microsoft AI to Revolutionize HR and Payroll Efficiency

TLDR: Dayforce has announced an expanded partnership with Microsoft to embed AI agents directly into its HR and payroll platform, aiming to significantly enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve employee experiences. This integration, built on Microsoft technologies, allows for personalized AI assistance across various human capital management functions.

MINNEAPOLIS and TORONTO – October 13, 2025 – Dayforce, Inc. (NYSE: DAY; TSX: DAY), a global leader in human capital management (HCM) technology, has unveiled a significant expansion of its collaboration with Microsoft. This strategic move introduces Dayforce AI Agents directly into everyday business workflows across human resources, payroll, and broader operations, promising a new era of efficiency and streamlined processes for organizations worldwide.

The announcement, made at the Dayforce Discover conference, highlights Dayforce’s commitment to leveraging advanced artificial intelligence to “make work life better.” The core of this initiative is the integration of custom, personalized AI agents, powered by Microsoft Copilot Studio, into the unified Dayforce platform. This platform is built entirely on Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Teams, and .NET, ensuring deep interoperability and faster innovation.

Joe Korngiebel, Chief Strategy, Product, and Technology Officer at Dayforce, Inc., emphasized the strategic advantage of this collaboration: “By harnessing the full power of the Microsoft technology stack, Dayforce is redefining how organizations unlock value from their technology investments – freeing employees to focus on the work they’re truly meant to do.” He added, “Together with Microsoft, we’re delivering a smarter, more seamless experience that improves the daily flow of work, empowers leaders to automate with confidence, and connects people and data in ways that drive meaningful impact.”

These new AI agents are designed to go beyond traditional chat-based support, acting as intelligent collaborators that embed intelligence directly into workflows. They will have secure access to a wide range of workforce data, including employee details and payroll insights, within the familiar working environments of users. This capability is expected to reduce manual workloads, minimize errors, and facilitate smarter, faster decision-making.

The portfolio of Dayforce AI Agents is set to include several key functionalities:

People Analytics Agents: These agents will unlock organizational intelligence by providing leaders with access to a personalized business analyst. They will surface up-to-date, role-based insights across HR, Pay, Time, and Talent Management data, transforming HR reporting into actionable intelligence for more informed decisions. The people analytics agent is slated for release in 2026.

Content Authoring Agents: Designed to assist employees, managers, leaders, and HR teams in drafting clear and compelling text, these agents will streamline content creation across various HR-related communications.

Pay Agents: These agents will help employees explore and understand their pay details, explain variances, and provide trusted answers about their earnings, thereby improving transparency and reducing inquiries to leaders and HR teams.

Dayforce highlights that its single, AI-powered people platform for HR, Pay, Time, Talent, and Analytics offers a differentiated advantage over HCM vendors that rely on fragmented systems and multiple add-on integrations. This unified approach aims to simplify deployment and maintenance for customers, allowing organizations to fully extend and customize workflows using Dayforce APIs and Microsoft Copilot Studio.
