Crescendo Equity Partners Injects 90 Billion Won into Mindwareworks for AI Contact Center Expansion

TLDR: Crescendo Equity Partners has committed a 90 billion won investment into Mindwareworks, a leading AI contact center platform provider. The funding, initiated with an initial 30 billion won, will fuel Mindwareworks’ research and development, global market expansion, and strategic mergers and acquisitions, bolstering its advanced AI-driven customer service solutions.

Crescendo Equity Partners, a prominent domestic private equity firm, has announced a significant investment of 90 billion won into Mindwareworks, a company at the forefront of artificial intelligence (AI) contact center platforms. This substantial capital injection is poised to accelerate Mindwareworks’ strategic initiatives, including enhanced research and development, aggressive global market expansion, and potential mergers and acquisitions.

The investment, reported by banking industry sources on October 27, 2025, will be executed in two phases. An initial 30 billion won has already been deployed from Crescendo’s third blind fund, which boasts approximately 1.1 trillion won and was raised in December 2021. The remaining 60 billion won is slated for subsequent execution. While the financial details of Mindwareworks’ corporate valuation and Crescendo’s post-investment equity stake were not disclosed, the commitment underscores a strong belief in the company’s growth trajectory and technological prowess.

Founded in 2010, Mindwareworks has established itself as a critical provider of Service Orchestration Engine (SOE) platforms, essential for the operation of advanced AI Contact Centers (AICC) and Generative AI-based chatbots. AICC represents an intelligent customer response system that leverages AI to automate and enhance customer service and counseling tasks, significantly boosting efficiency.

Mindwareworks’ proprietary ‘AI agent orchestration’ technology is a cornerstone of its success. This technology is capable of interpreting user intent and context to facilitate seamless conversations across multiple channels. The company boasts impressive performance metrics, with a customer self-resolution rate exceeding 50% and a response success rate surpassing 90%. These figures highlight the effectiveness of their AI solutions in resolving customer inquiries without direct agent intervention.

The company’s market penetration is robust, with over 140 customers globally across diverse industries. Notably, more than 40% of domestic first-tier financial institutions utilize Mindwareworks’ AICC and chatbot services. Its international footprint is also expanding, having successfully converted global consumer electronics corporations, energy companies, major local governments, and other public institutions into commercial customers within the Japanese market. The core product, CogInsight, is instrumental in enabling corporations to easily adopt and operate commercial natural language processing (NLP) processors and large language models.
