Cloudera Survey Reveals Over Half of Enterprises Achieve Significant Value from AI Integration

TLDR: A recent global survey by Cloudera indicates that 52% of enterprises are realizing significant measurable value from their AI initiatives. The report highlights a major shift from AI pilot programs to deep integration within core business processes, with 96% of organizations now having AI at least somewhat integrated. Key challenges remain in data access and management across hybrid environments, prompting solutions like the new Private AI platform developed in collaboration with Dell Technologies.

A new global survey conducted by Cloudera among 1,574 enterprise IT leaders reveals that a significant 52% of respondents are experiencing “significantly successful” measurable value from their Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives. This marks a pivotal shift in how organizations are leveraging AI, moving beyond experimental phases to deep integration within their core business processes.

The survey, titled “The Evolution of AI: The State of Enterprise AI and Data Architecture,” published on September 25, 2025, underscores that 96% of enterprises have now integrated AI into their core operations, an increase from 88% in 2024. Of these, 21% reported full embedding of AI, while 54% noted significant integration.

Enterprises are deriving value from a diverse range of AI formats and tools. The report specifies that generative AI is yielding value for 60% of organizations, followed by deep learning (53%), predictive AI (50%), supervised learning (43%), classification (41%), and agentic AI (36%). This widespread adoption and integration have provided a substantial boost for businesses over the past year.

Leo Brunnick, Cloudera’s Chief Product Officer, emphasized the strategic importance of AI within modern enterprises. “AI isn’t just some personal side project relegated to the IT operation,” said Brunnick. “Enterprises are going all-in on AI, counting on the technology to transform nearly every facet of their business.”

Despite the accelerating adoption, IT leaders continue to face challenges, particularly concerning data access and management. Brunnick highlighted that “You can’t seize opportunities if you don’t even know they’re there, and you can’t necessarily trust AI that is not trained on 100% of enterprise data. Without that full access, it will be impossible for enterprises to successfully leverage AI and make fully informed, strategic business decisions.” The survey indicates that very few IT leaders have achieved complete data access.

To address these complexities, Cloudera announced an integration with Dell ObjectScale, introducing a comprehensive Private AI platform. This collaboration aims to provide a secure, scalable, and economically clear solution for enterprises. The platform allows joint customers to store all data—structured and unstructured—in one location and access it quickly and securely, enabling faster AI adoption, lower overall costs, and trusted AI systems, which is crucial for highly regulated industries.

The survey also shed light on current data storage architectures, with 63% of respondents utilizing private cloud, 52% public cloud, and 42% data warehouses. The new Private AI platform is designed to overcome the hurdles of data movement, make AI more affordable, simplify management, and deploy AI agents with enhanced trust and efficiency.
