Clarifeye Secures €4 Million Pre-Seed Funding to Scale Expert AI Agents

TLDR: Paris-based Clarifeye has successfully raised €4 million in a pre-seed funding round led by EQT Ventures. The capital will be used to advance its platform, which transforms specialized human knowledge into scalable, high-performing AI agents, addressing the critical challenge of deploying effective Generative AI in complex industries.

Paris, France – October 1, 2025 – Clarifeye, an innovative platform dedicated to building expert AI agents at scale, today announced it has closed a €4 million pre-seed funding round. The investment was spearheaded by EQT Ventures, with significant participation from Drysdale Ventures, alongside notable angel investors including Olivier Pomel (CEO and founder of Datadog), Jean-Luc Robert (ex-CEO of Kyriba), and Alexandre Berriche (Fleet).

The funding aims to accelerate the development of Clarifeye’s proprietary platform and bolster its team with top-tier talent. The company’s core offering is a ‘GenAI-ready data layer’ that seamlessly integrates raw enterprise data with invaluable human expertise, thereby enhancing generalist Large Language Models (LLMs) to reason with the depth and nuance of an organization’s most skilled human experts.

Clarifeye addresses a significant hurdle in the current Generative AI landscape. According to a recent MIT study, a staggering 95% of GenAI pilot projects in companies are reportedly failing. This widespread failure is often attributed to the inherent limitations of existing AI solutions: generalist AI, while fast, lacks depth, while vertical AI is too rigid to capture the intricate, experience-based knowledge held by human specialists. In complex sectors such as law, regulation, life sciences, and manufacturing, critical business value often resides with a select few experts whose institutional knowledge and unique reasoning strategies are scarce, difficult to develop, and nearly impossible to scale, creating bottlenecks in decision-making processes.

Clarifeye’s solution directly tackles this problem by enabling collaborative development between developers and domain experts. The platform allows for the co-creation, testing, and refinement of LLM-powered workflows that operate on a company’s validated, proprietary data. Crucially, it empowers subject-matter experts to input their reasoning strategies, contextual connections, and decision-making patterns, converting previously informal or experience-based knowledge into actionable, operational intelligence that AI agents can consistently leverage.

Mathieu Grisolia, CEO of Clarifeye, commented on the funding: “Most GenAI efforts fail because companies are forced to choose between generalist AI – which is fast but shallow – or vertical AI – which is narrow but rigid. Neither captures the true depth of expertise. Clarifeye takes a different path: we capture what is in your experts’ minds, turning it into an always-on AI that thinks like them, delivering ultra-specialised AI out of the box. This funding enables us to grow our team and accelerate that vision.”

The outcome of Clarifeye’s approach is the creation of expert GenAI agents that demonstrate unparalleled reasoning depth, accuracy, and repeatability, even when tackling the most complex and intricate tasks. These agents are designed to perform on par with an organization’s best human experts. By gradually introducing these agents, use case by use case, organizations can lay the groundwork for true collective intelligence at scale, ultimately freeing up human experts to engage in deeper collaboration and the creation of new knowledge.
