TLDR: The Civil Services Academy (CSA) has successfully completed a two-day ‘Training of Trainers’ workshop focused on Artificial Intelligence fundamentals. This initiative, a collaboration with Atom Camp and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), aimed to equip 30 public sector officers with AI skills, covering topics from core concepts to ethical considerations and no-code solutions. The CSA is now set to develop its own in-house AI training programs to further integrate AI across government functions.
LAHORE: The Civil Services Academy (CSA) has successfully concluded a pivotal two-day ‘Training of Trainers’ (ToT) workshop on the ‘Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence,’ marking a significant stride towards integrating AI capabilities within Pakistan’s public sector. The workshop, which wrapped up on Thursday, November 7, 2025, was a collaborative effort between the CSA, Atom Camp, and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT).
The program saw the participation of 30 officers drawn from various public sector training institutions and provincial departments. These included representatives from the National School of Public Policy (Lahore), Planning Commission, Punjab Social Protection Authority, Pakistan Railways (Electrical), National Institute of Public Administration (Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar), PRAL-FBR, Auditor General of Pakistan, CSA, MoITT, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Housing and Works, Military Engineering Services (Ministry of Defence), Pakistan Post, STI (ETAB Division), PAAS, FBR, ML&C, Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, DMIU–PESRP (School Education Department), and the UNDP Asia Pacific chapter.
Led by Atom Camp co-founder Dr. Naveed and his expert team, the sessions delved into a comprehensive curriculum. Key topics covered included core AI concepts, their practical applications in governance, prompt engineering, data analysis using AI tools, the critical aspects of ethics and bias in AI, and the utilization of no-code solutions for automation and workflow design. The workshop was designed to not only impart theoretical knowledge but also to foster practical skills, with participants refining their training plans and assessing their competencies in content development and delivery.
