The timing of the disruption was particularly notable, occurring merely a day after OpenAI introduced its new India-exclusive ‘ChatGPT Go’ subscription plan. Priced at ₹399 per month, this plan was designed to attract more users by offering enhanced features such as access to GPT-5, expanded chat capabilities, file uploads, longer memory and context, faster image generation limits, and advanced deep research functionalities.
