TLDR: Neurobridge Tech Pvt Ltd has launched Chanakya AI, India’s first AI platform designed to analyze handwritten CBSE exam answers and provide personalized, diagnostic feedback. The system boasts 92% accuracy and has shown significant grade improvements in beta testing, aiming to bridge the gap in affordable, individualized K-12 education.
NEW DELHI – July 7, 2025 – A significant leap in India’s education technology sector was announced today with the official launch of Chanakya AI by Delhi-based startup Neurobridge Tech Pvt Ltd. Heralded as India’s pioneering AI platform, Chanakya AI is set to transform how students receive feedback on their handwritten CBSE exam answers, moving beyond traditional grading to offer deeply personalized insights.
This innovative system addresses a long-standing need within India’s vast ₹3,74,000 crore ($50.31 billion) K-12 education market, providing one-on-one guidance that was previously accessible primarily through expensive private tutoring. Chanakya AI operates by allowing students to upload photos of their handwritten answer sheets. The AI then meticulously analyzes the work, identifying specific error patterns, pinpointing conceptual gaps, and even calculating marks lost due to recurring mistakes.
Garvit Kothari, CEO and Co-founder of Neurobridge Tech Pvt Ltd, elaborated on the platform’s unique approach: “Traditional methods simply tell students how many marks they’ve scored or lost. We go further. For example, if a student consistently mixes up velocity and acceleration concepts, we not only show them they’ve lost 8 marks because of this recurring mistake but also create targeted interventions addressing this conceptual confusion.” This diagnostic capability sets Chanakya AI apart from conventional educational systems and existing edtech giants like Byju’s, Unacademy, and Vedantu, which typically offer standardized content.
During its year-long beta phase, Chanakya AI demonstrated remarkable efficacy. Over 500 students across multiple states reported notable grade improvements. A Delhi student, Kiran Kumar, saw his math scores climb from 28% to 45%, while students in Pune experienced jumps from 72% to 84%. Another testimonial came from Priya Sharma, a mother of a 10th grader, who stated her son’s grades improved from 72% to 84% in just two months. Ananya R., a Grade 10 student from Pune, credited the AI for a 20-mark improvement in her math scores, praising its clear explanations and precise practice steps.
The platform currently boasts a 92% accuracy rate in interpreting handwritten answers, with a target to exceed 95% by the end of the year. It offers targeted reviews, specific practice problems, and guided content, dynamically adjusting difficulty based on real-time progress tracking. Priced at an accessible ₹1,500 monthly, Chanakya AI aims to make personalized tutoring affordable for India’s 261 million students.
