Cerillion Unveils Version 25.2 with Advanced AI Agents and New MCP Server for Enhanced Conversational Intelligence

TLDR: Cerillion has launched Cerillion 25.2, introducing a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server and a comprehensive suite of AI Agents, including the flagship Cerillion Billing Agent. This update aims to bring advanced conversational intelligence to BSS/OSS solutions, transforming how communications service providers and their customers interact with business applications through natural language.

LONDON, October 29, 2025 – Cerillion (AIM: CER), a prominent provider of composable Business Support Systems/Operations Support Systems (BSS/OSS) solutions for the telecommunications industry, today announced the release of Cerillion 25.2. This significant update features a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server and a powerful suite of AI Agents, designed to infuse true conversational intelligence across all facets of a Communications Service Provider’s (CSP) operations.

At the core of this release is the Cerillion Billing Agent, the company’s first fully-featured AI Agent. This innovative tool empowers users to engage in natural language conversations to inquire about, explore insights from, and receive clear explanations regarding their bills, payments, and transactions. The Billing Agent is accessible to customer service representatives (CSRs) in call centers, as well as directly to end-users through Cerillion’s Self Service portal and Mobile App, fundamentally changing how CSPs and their customers interact with financial information.

Building on the success of Cerillion’s previous AI Assistants, which handled specific tasks, the new generation of AI Agents is designed for holistic, intelligent, and conversational experiences across major business domains. In addition to the Billing Agent, Cerillion 25.2 introduces the Sales Agent, Workflow Agent, Catalogue Agent, and Promotions Agent. Each agent is tailored to enable users to manage complex operations, streamline decision-making, and achieve faster outcomes via an intuitive, chat-based interface.

These advanced AI Agents are powered by Cerillion’s new MCP Server, which establishes a flexible and interoperable foundation for multi-agent collaboration. The MCP Server is seamlessly integrated with Cerillion’s TM Forum-certified Open APIs, facilitating the integration of Cerillion Agents with external MCP servers and third-party AI systems. This capability grants CSPs the flexibility to construct connected AI ecosystems specifically tailored to their business requirements.

Louis Hall, CEO of Cerillion, commented on the launch, stating, “Cerillion 25.2 marks a major step forward in making BSS/OSS solutions truly intelligent. With our new MCP Server and family of AI Agents, we’re transforming how users interact with their business applications – to ask questions, get instant answers, and take action across every function. This release signals the start of a new era of AI-driven BSS/OSS.” Hall further emphasized that “Cerillion 25.2 is also about accelerating how Communications Services Providers innovate. From our new Service Catalogue and refreshed Interconnect Manager to our enhanced Mobile App, we’re helping customers bring new services to market faster than ever before.”

Beyond the AI enhancements, Cerillion 25.2 delivers several other significant platform improvements. These include a new Service Catalogue module, a refreshed Interconnect Manager with an updated user interface and cloud deployment capabilities, and an enhanced Mobile App built on a composable technology framework. Cerillion has also achieved its first two TM Forum Open Digital Architecture Component Certifications, underscoring its commitment to open standards.
