KENNESAW, Georgia – Carrier Abound, a key part of Carrier Global Corporation, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, has been bestowed with a prestigious 2025 Sustainability Leadership Award by the Business Intelligence Group. This accolade, announced on August 23, 2025, highlights Carrier Abound’s pioneering efforts and demonstrable success in fostering sustainable building operations through its innovative Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) solutions.

The 10th annual Sustainability Awards celebrate organizations making a tangible difference in building a more sustainable future, with this year’s edition specifically honoring leaders in net-zero strategies, climate equity, and AI-powered transformation.

Carrier Abound’s recognition specifically underscores its commitment to assisting retailers in minimizing the carbon footprint of their store operations. This is achieved through its acclaimed AI-powered Abound Insights platform, which is supported by a network of global command centers. The comprehensive solution addresses critical challenges such as fragmented data, manual operational processes, and inefficient maintenance practices. It achieves this by creating ‘smart ecosystems’ capable of analyzing information, making informed decisions, and automating routine tasks.

Currently, Carrier Abound’s solutions are deployed across more than 33,000 stores globally, helping multi-site clients significantly enhance their operational efficiency.

Yasir Qureshi, General Manager, Carrier Abound, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are honored and proud to receive the 2025 Sustainability Leadership Award. This recognition further strengthens our purpose and reflects our deep commitment to creating a lasting impact — for our customers, for the future generations to come, and for the world we share.”

Over the past 12 months, Carrier Abound has delivered impressive results, enabling retailers to save over 667 million kWh of energy worldwide. Furthermore, their solutions have contributed to reducing emissions stemming from truck rolls and HVAC refrigerant leakage, while simultaneously building more efficient and future-ready operations.

One notable example involved a leading North American retailer operating over 2,100 stores. Between May 2024 and September 2024, Carrier Abound’s platform identified refrigerant leaks across approximately 5,300 rooftop units (RTUs). Prompt intervention facilitated the saving of over 161,300 pounds of refrigerant from further leakage, thereby reducing emissions, preserving equipment health, and ensuring continuous operational functionality.
