The core of Britive’s new offering lies in its ability to provide granular runtime controls for both agent-to-agent (A2A) and agent-to-tool communication, utilizing frameworks such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This ensures that every action taken by an AI agent is authorized and governed dynamically. According to Britive, traditional Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, built for human workflows, are ill-equipped to handle the scale, speed, and autonomous nature of modern AI workloads.

The concept of an Agentic Identity and Security Platform (AISP) was defined by Aragon Research in June 2025. According to Aragon, an AISP encompasses agent identity management, data protection, operational integrity, governance, runtime enforcement, and human accountability.
