boAt, a prominent Indian brand in audio and wearables, has officially announced its collaboration with Google to launch the ‘#boAtGeminiChallenge’. This initiative is a nationwide creative competition designed to empower creators, students, and young Indians to leverage Google’s advanced artificial intelligence (AI) models within the Gemini app to produce engaging and high-energy advertisements.
The challenge aims to showcase how boAt products have become an integral part of daily Indian life, reflecting the brand’s commitment to cultural relevance and making innovation accessible. This first-of-its-kind campaign is structured into two distinct phases, with submissions accepted from October 8, 2025, until October 14, 2025.
Phase 1, known as the ‘Nano Banana Print Ad Challenge’, tasks participants with designing compelling print advertisements for boAt. Creators will utilize Gemini 2.5 Flash (Nano Banana), Google’s sophisticated AI image editing tool integrated into the Gemini app. This phase encourages participants to creatively blend boAt product images with specific features, such as Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) in headphones, powerful bass in speakers, or fitness tracking capabilities in smartwatches, all while incorporating various lifestyle themes.
Following this, Phase 2, the ‘VEO 3 Video Ad Challenge’, will elevate the competition by inviting creators to produce dynamic video advertisements. This phase will harness Google’s generative video model, Veo 3, also accessible through the Gemini app, to craft short films that seamlessly integrate boAt products into diverse everyday scenarios experienced by young Indians across different settings and geographies.
The #boAtGeminiChallenge offers a substantial total prize pool valued at ₹10 lakh (ten lakh Indian Rupees), with ₹5 lakh allocated to each phase of the competition. In addition to the cash prizes, top entries will be rewarded with exclusive boAt products, complimentary Google Gemini subscriptions, and other exciting incentives. The winners for Phase 1 are scheduled to be announced on October 15, 2025, while the announcement date for Phase 2 winners is yet to be disclosed.
