HYDERABAD, JULY 28, 2025 – Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women in Hyderabad proudly hosted the inaugural ceremony of a six-day AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Faculty Development Programme (FDP) centered on ‘Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)’. Organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the program commenced with significant enthusiasm, aligning with AICTE’s national mandate to enhance faculty expertise in rapidly evolving technological domains.
The FDP was formally inaugurated by Dr. G. Shyama Chandra Prasad, the Principal of Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women. In his inspiring keynote address, Dr. Prasad underscored the profound and transformative influence of Artificial Intelligence across education, various industries, and society at large. He urged all participants to actively integrate AI-driven methodologies into their teaching practices and research endeavors, highlighting the critical need for educators to stay abreast of these advancements.
Adding valuable industry perspective, Sana Afreen graced the ceremony as the chief guest, sharing practical insights into the real-world deployment and applications of Generative AI within the industry. The event saw the participation of several key dignitaries from the college, including Dr. V. Sudha (Secretary), Dr. Ch. Sujatha Gangadhar (Chief Operating Officer), Dr. Gracy Sailasree (HR & Academic Director), Mr. G. Dayakar Reddy (Vice Principal), Mr. M. Vinod (HOD), and program coordinators Dr. P. Sumalatha and Dr. P. Deepthi.

The comprehensive six-day FDP curriculum is designed to provide deep insights into Generative AI and LLMs. Topics covered include understanding Generative AI, exploring Large Language Models, their diverse use cases, and the complete project lifecycle. Participants will delve into Generative Models for NLP applications, gain an introduction to OpenAI and DALL-E, and learn about text generation using various models such as GANs, VAEs, Diffusion Models, and LLMs. The program also covers advanced techniques like fine-tuning and customizing LLMs, utilizing Generative AI Studio for building and deploying LLM applications, and exploring advanced trends. Practical sessions will involve working with key Generative AI tools and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face, ensuring faculty are well-equipped to integrate these cutting-edge technologies into their academic and research pursuits.
