Bentley Systems, a leading infrastructure engineering software company, has officially announced the finalists for its prestigious 2025 Going Digital Awards. These annual awards are designed to honor the remarkable achievements of engineers and project teams globally who are driving significant advancements in infrastructure through digital innovation.
The 2025 awards specifically recognize companies that are transforming project delivery and asset performance by embracing cutting-edge digital technologies, with a particular emphasis on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twins. The selection process was rigorous, with independent panels of global industry experts choosing finalists across 12 distinct categories from an impressive pool of nearly 250 nominations submitted by organizations in 47 countries.
Chris Bradshaw, Chief Sustainability and Education Officer at Bentley Systems, highlighted the significance of this year’s finalists. “We are inspired by the ways infrastructure professionals continue to deliver better, more resilient infrastructure, despite so many global challenges, from climate change to infrastructure workforce shortages,” Bradshaw stated. He further emphasized, “This year’s Going Digital Awards finalists demonstrate the tangible impact advances in AI, digital twins, and more are having in driving greater productivity and resilience across the infrastructure lifecycle.”
The finalists are set to present their innovative projects at Bentley’s highly anticipated Year in Infrastructure conference, which will take place in Amsterdam. Categories for the 2025 awards span a wide range of infrastructure sectors, including Bridges and Tunnels, Cities, Campuses & Facilities, Construction, Energy Production, Roads and Highways, and Structural Engineering, among others. Notable finalists include Italferr (Italy) for leveraging digital technologies in infrastructure management, Pennoni (USA) for the I-95 Penn’s Landing CAP Project, and SENER (Brazil) for the Salvador-Ilha de Itaparica Bridge in the Bridges and Tunnels category. In Construction, ACCIONA (Australia) was recognized for its M80 Ring Road Completion project, while Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group Co. (China) was a finalist in Energy Production for its Digital Intelligent Construction Project for a Steel Plant. These projects exemplify the diverse applications and profound impact of digital innovation in addressing complex infrastructure challenges worldwide.
