Bell Canada Forges Strategic AI Partnership with Cohere to Bolster Enterprise and Government Services

TLDR: Bell Canada has announced a significant partnership with AI firm Cohere to deliver comprehensive sovereign AI solutions for government and enterprise clients across Canada. This collaboration will integrate Cohere’s AI services, including its agentic AI platform North and customized large language models, into Bell’s newly launched AI Fabric, aiming to establish a $1-billion tech services business.

MONTREAL — Bell Canada has officially unveiled a strategic partnership with Cohere, a leading artificial intelligence company, marking a pivotal step in Bell’s ambition to expand its technology service offerings. This collaboration, announced on July 28, 2025, is set to provide full-stack sovereign AI solutions tailored for government and enterprise customers throughout Canada.

Cohere’s advanced AI services will be made accessible through Bell AI Fabric, an initiative launched by Bell in May to address the growing AI needs of Canadian businesses and governmental bodies. A cornerstone of this integration will be Cohere’s agentic AI platform, North, which will empower government and enterprise clients to develop AI agents and automation solutions without the complexities of managing underlying AI infrastructure.

Bell AI Fabric is designed to be a robust ecosystem, incorporating six dedicated AI data centers. It will also feature sophisticated software infrastructure, including Cohere’s large language models. These models will be specifically customized for Bell, offering unique capabilities designed to cater to the Canadian market. The entire framework, encompassing machine learning and cloud software, will be fortified by leading cybersecurity protections, combining physical security, network security, and operational resilience.
