TLDR: Avanade has acquired Singapore-based IT services firm Total eBiz Solutions to accelerate its expansion and enhance its Microsoft technology and AI capabilities in Southeast Asia. The acquisition, Avanade’s first in the region, will integrate over 200 professionals and Total eBiz’s expertise in AI, cloud, and digital workplace solutions to address the growing demand for digital transformation among mid-market and public sector clients.
Avanade, a leading Microsoft solutions provider, announced on August 28, 2025, its acquisition of Total eBiz Solutions, a Singapore-headquartered IT services firm. This strategic move marks Avanade’s inaugural acquisition in Southeast Asia and is poised to significantly bolster its capabilities and accelerate growth across the rapidly expanding region.
Total eBiz Solutions, established in 2003, is renowned for its deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, with a strong focus on AI, cloud, data, engineering, automation, and digital workplace products. The integration of Total eBiz Solutions’ three core offerings into Avanade’s broader portfolio is expected to unlock greater value through scalable managed services, infrastructure transformation, modern applications, Dynamics 365, and advanced AI-powered security solutions.
More than 200 professionals from Total eBiz Solutions will join Avanade, bringing with them proven local expertise crucial for bridging the talent shortage in the region.
Bhavya Kapoor, Avanade’s President for Asia Pacific, emphasized the significance of this acquisition. “Beyond enhancing our technical capabilities, it positions us to lead in helping mid-market organisations reimagine their business models, drive new growth, and stay ahead in a market that is evolving at extraordinary speed,” Kapoor stated.
Radhakrishna Bijjala, Chief Executive Officer at Total eBiz Solutions, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting it as a natural progression for his company. “This partnership lets us amplify our impact and offer clients global capabilities while maintaining the agile service they value. It also opens new growth and learning opportunities for our people,” Bijjala commented.
Megawaty Khie, Regional Managing Director for Avanade in Southeast Asia, highlighted the region’s demand for digital reinvention. “Southeast Asia’s fast-growing industries, from public services to manufacturing and education, are seeking digital reinvention to compete globally. Total eBiz Solutions’ strong local track record and industry solutions, combined with Avanade’s AI innovation, will help clients in the region tackle these opportunities with confidence and speed,” Khie added.
The acquisition is particularly timely given the significant market opportunity in Southeast Asia’s mid-market segment, where businesses are keen to adopt AI but face challenges in implementation. Research indicates that 44% of mid-market businesses are stalled at the AI proof-of-concept stage, and 48% are still developing business cases for implementation. This gap exists despite projections that AI and Generative AI advancements will contribute an estimated $120 billion to Southeast Asia’s GDP by 2027. Total eBiz Solutions’ specialized Gen AI-powered tools for knowledge search and service management are expected to directly address these mid-market implementation challenges.
