C K Ranganathan, chairman and MD of CavinKare, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the dual nature of AI’s impact. He stated, ‘While artificial intelligence (AI) is disrupting industries and routine jobs are at risk, it is also opening up new opportunities.’ Ranganathan used a compelling analogy, adding, ‘AI is like an Arabian horse, a lot of people admire it from the outside, but only a few are willing to ride with purpose.’ His remarks underscored the need for strategic engagement with AI to harness its full potential.

The awards celebrated a diverse range of innovations:

Dhanvantri Biomedical Pvt Ltd was recognized for its ‘Sahayatha Wheelchair’. This innovative solution features an integrated toilet, a self-cleaning system, and a water storage unit, specifically designed to assist individuals who face challenges accessing conventional toilets due to age, disability, or illness.

Avay Biosciences received an award for its cutting-edge 3D bioprinting platform. This technology offers a revolutionary approach to preclinical drug trials by replacing traditional animal testing. The platform utilizes patient-derived tissues to construct accurate 3D models, leading to a drug testing process that is significantly faster, more cost-effective, and precise.

Urdhvam Environmental Technologies Pvt Ltd was honored for its ‘Bore Charger’, a smart rainwater harvesting system. This ingenious solution is designed to revive dry or low-yield borewells, addressing critical water scarcity issues through sustainable practices.

R Dinesh, executive chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, also shared his insights during the event, remarking, ‘Every problem creates an opportunity, and no company can survive without making breakthrough changes.’ His statement resonated with the spirit of innovation celebrated at the awards, highlighting the necessity for continuous evolution and problem-solving in the business landscape.
