AI Agent Sector Update: Almanak Secures $8.45M Funding Amidst AVA Token’s Significant Weekly Decline

The funding round saw participation from a diverse group of prominent investors, including Delphi Labs, HashKey Capital, BanklessVC, NEAR Foundation, RockawayX, Matrix Partners, AppWorks, Sparkle VC, and Shima Capital. Almanak is reportedly focused on developing an advanced AI-powered decision-making framework, designed to analyze intricate market patterns and manage risk effectively, thereby facilitating the creation and deployment of automated financial strategies.

While Almanak celebrates its funding success, the broader AI Agent sector has faced a challenging week. According to Coingecko data, the sector collectively experienced a 7.1% decline over the past seven days. As of the reporting period, the total market capitalization for the AI Agent sector stood at $6,166,311,096, placing it 64th in overall sector rankings, a drop of one position from the previous week. Despite the market downturn, the number of tokens within the AI Agent sector saw a modest increase, growing from 513 to 517 with the addition of four new projects. This expansion positions the sector at 11th place in terms of token count, trailing only the Bridged-Tokens sector.
