The Artificial Intelligence Agent sector concluded the week of August 25-31 with a notable decline, as reported in the latest AI Agent Weekly Report. The sector’s total market capitalization fell by 12.4% over the past seven days, settling at $5,505,690,333 USD. This drop caused the sector to slip one position in the overall sector rankings, now standing at 65th.
Despite the market contraction, the AI Agent sector saw an expansion in its token ecosystem, with five new projects joining the ranks. The total number of tokens in the sector increased from 525 to 530, positioning it as the 11th largest sector by token count, closely trailing the Bridged-Tokens sector, which holds 533 tokens.
Amidst the widespread downturn, only 18 of the 530 AI Agent projects managed to achieve positive growth. Standout performers included 1000X, which surged by 87.8% to a token price of $0.0053. GNUS also saw substantial gains, increasing by 82.3% to $1.70. VIVI and ANON recorded more modest but still positive growth, with VIVI up 27.5% to $0.0097 and ANON rising 14.1% to $3.01.
Conversely, several popular projects faced significant losses. AXR plummeted by 37.4% to $0.0126, FAI dropped 37.0% to $0.011, and BRAIN experienced a 30.5% decrease, trading at $0.0051.

A notable development during the week was the availability of ‘Cookie Snaps’ on Rayls. This new offering quickly captured significant attention within the community. According to data from cookie.fun, which tracks AI Agent token discussions on the X platform, COOKIE emerged as the most discussed token, accounting for 6.15% of all AI Agent token conversations. Other highly discussed tokens included BNKR (5.81%), USDT (3.67%), REKT (3.57%), and VIRTUAL (3.34%).
