Access PaySuite Unveils AI-Powered Income Management Evo to Revolutionize Public Sector Finance

TLDR: Access PaySuite has launched Income Management Evo, an advanced AI-powered software solution designed to transform financial management within the public sector. This new platform leverages Generative AI (GenAI) to provide instant payment intelligence, critical alerts, and streamlined data insights, aiming to enhance efficiency, speed, and accuracy for local authorities, housing associations, and NHS Trusts.

Access PaySuite has announced the launch of Income Management Evo, its next-generation, AI-powered software experience, poised to significantly enhance financial management across the public sector. Unveiled on September 16, 2025, this innovation addresses the growing pressures faced by public sector teams, including increased demand, limited resources, and fragmented systems.

Income Management Evo integrates powerful Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities into the public sector’s payment ecosystem. Developed in partnership with Microsoft, the software enables organizations to retrieve complex data and insights using plain language queries. Key features include live dashboards and predictive alerts that connect and clarify income, refunds, and payment data, fostering smarter and more collaborative decision-making.

Giulio Montemagno, Managing Director of Access PaySuite, emphasized the transformative potential of the new platform. “Income Management Evo marks a step change in what can be achieved by AI-driven innovation in public sector organisations,” Montemagno stated. “We’ve collaborated closely with finance, digital transformation and operations teams across local authorities, NHS Trusts and housing associations to develop a powerful AI software experience. It brings payment intelligence to organisations and fits seamlessly into existing workflows and processes.”

The solution is designed to empower public service professionals, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives rather than administrative burdens. Montemagno added, “People enter public service to make a difference and we’re excited to add a powerful tool which will help teams to deliver a better service to local communities through efficiency, speed and accuracy.”

Recognizing the critical importance of data security and compliance within the public sector, Access PaySuite has underpinned Income Management Evo with a robust 3-Tier Security Model, ensuring the protection of every click, insight, and decision.

The launch comes at a time when new research from Access PaySuite indicates that public sector organizations are lagging behind their private sector counterparts in AI adoption. A Censuswide survey, commissioned by Access PaySuite, revealed that while six in ten public sector organizations are investing in AI, this compares to 83% of private sector companies. Furthermore, only 10% of public sector organizations currently have ‘significant’ AI strategies in place, versus 45% in the private sector.

Jamie Symons, Head of Product and Engineering at Access PaySuite, highlighted the increasing strain on local authorities, citing a significant rise in rental arrears from an average of £1.8 million per council in 2019 to £3.1 million in 2024. He noted that AI-assisted income management is crucial for shifting operational approaches from reactive crisis management to proactive, data-driven strategies.

Specific functionalities within Income Management Evo include ‘Spaces’ for personalized dashboards, ‘Co-pilot’ as an AI digital assistant for instant answers to data queries, and ‘Feed’ which provides real-time alerts for critical actions, such as remote refund approvals and file import success notifications. These features are also accessible via the Access Evo mobile app.
