Accenture Finalizes Acquisition of Japan’s Aidemy to Bolster AI and Reskilling Capabilities

TLDR: Accenture has successfully completed its tender offer to acquire Aidemy Inc., a Japan-based specialist in AI and digital transformation. This strategic move aims to significantly enhance Accenture’s LearnVantage service, focusing on developing talent in generative AI and providing end-to-end AI system support for global clients. Aidemy, which will soon be delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange, brings approximately 130 professionals to Accenture.

TOKYO – September 30, 2025 – Global professional services company Accenture (NYSE: ACN) today announced the successful completion of its tender offer to acquire Aidemy Inc., a prominent Japan-based firm specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX). Following the settlement of the tender offer, Aidemy will officially become a subsidiary of Accenture and is slated for delisting from the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market (Securities Code: 5577) in the coming months, as Accenture plans to acquire all remaining shares and stock acquisition rights.

This acquisition is a pivotal step in Accenture’s strategy to strengthen its AI business and significantly enhance its LearnVantage service. LearnVantage, launched in March 2024 with a substantial $1 billion investment over three years, is designed to help clients worldwide identify and address critical skill gaps, particularly in rapidly evolving areas like generative AI.

Aidemy’s expertise spans developing, implementing, and operating AI systems optimized for diverse tasks and industries. The integration will enable Accenture to offer comprehensive, end-to-end support for clients embarking on AI-driven reinvention, from talent development to ensuring the sustained and effective use of AI systems. Aidemy has also demonstrated high proficiency in reskilling programs focused on AI, DX, and data analysis, alongside robust career support for individuals.

Approximately 130 professionals from Aidemy and its group companies, including fact-real, MABOROSHI, and to-R, will join Accenture. These experts will contribute to advancing client talent strategies and organizational transformation initiatives globally.

Atsushi Egawa, CEO of Accenture, Japan, and co-CEO, Asia-Pacific, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition, stating, “There is a growing demand among companies to rapidly drive comprehensive total enterprise reinvention utilizing cutting edge technologies, including generative AI. To ensure the success of such transformations, it is essential not only to redefine ways of working and skills based on digital and AI utilization, but also to focus on talent development and redeployment. By combining the strengths of Aidemy group and Accenture, we can support enhancing competitiveness and sustainable growth by maximizing the potential of our clients’ workforces.”

Akihiko Ishikawa, President of Aidemy, added, “Aidemy group has over its history provided end-to-end support across the AI and DX domains in fields ranging from education to development and implementation, thereby helping to drive corporate transformation. We are confident that joining Accenture will enable us to further expand our expertise in talent development and our technical capabilities for AI system development.”
