Accedo Unveils AI-Powered Compose Orchestration Layer for Adaptive Streaming Experiences

TLDR: Accedo is set to showcase its new Accedo Compose AI-Agent Enhanced Orchestration Layer at IBC2025. This innovative solution, developed with Merapar and leveraging AWS, uses modular AI agents to enable real-time optimization of streaming experiences, aiming to reduce churn, enhance quality, and boost customer lifetime value through dynamic adjustments across viewer touchpoints.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Accedo, a global leader in video experience solutions, has announced it will unveil its groundbreaking Accedo Compose AI-Agent Enhanced Orchestration Layer at IBC2025, scheduled for September 12-15 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center. This new modular orchestration layer is designed to empower streaming providers to move beyond static content delivery, offering continuously adaptive and personalized viewer experiences.

Accedo Compose is built on a robust technological foundation, leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Sagemaker Unified Studio and Amazon Bedrock. This integration allows the platform to facilitate real-time experimentation and optimization across every critical viewer touchpoint. These touchpoints span from content playback and personalized messaging to sophisticated monetization strategies and overall engagement.

Developed in collaboration with Merapar, a specialist in cloud-native data and video streaming, Accedo Compose introduces a paradigm shift for streaming teams. Instead of traditional static feature deployment, the solution activates modular AI impact agents. These agents are designed to autonomously monitor viewer behavior, test various interventions, and evolve viewer touchpoints dynamically, all in pursuit of specific business outcomes.

Michael Lantz, Accedo Group CEO, emphasized the strategic importance of this innovation, stating, “As streaming becomes more competitive, media companies need to make every product decision count.” The Compose layer directly addresses this need by orchestrating real-time adjustments that align with strategic goals such as reducing subscriber churn, stabilizing service quality, or increasing customer lifetime value.

The platform’s capabilities are illustrated through several examples of its specialized AI agents:

Churn Risk Agent: This agent can detect early signals of declining engagement and automatically trigger tailored retention flows designed to re-engage individual viewers.

UX Agent: It dynamically adjusts the user interface layout and messaging based on contextual cues, such as the time of day or signals indicating user frustration.

Monetization Agent: This agent intelligently surfaces upsell offers at precisely the moments when users are most receptive and likely to convert.

Each of these AI agents operates independently but is capable of collaborating in sequence, allowing for complex and nuanced optimization strategies. This agent-driven approach moves beyond manual configuration and siloed analytics, enabling a more responsive and effective streaming service.
