Tbilisi, Georgia – DataFest Tbilisi, the premier annual data conference in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, is gearing up for its highly anticipated 9th edition, scheduled to take place from November 27–29, 2025. This year, the festival is making a significant shift, dedicating its entire program to the expansive and rapidly evolving landscape of data and artificial intelligence (AI). The event promises to be a multidisciplinary gathering, bringing together a diverse array of professionals to explore the profound implications of AI.

Festival organizer Nino Macharashvili emphasized the event’s core mission: ‘Artificial intelligence is no longer just the future — it’s already part of our everyday reality. AI is everywhere — in the news, in new products, and in professional conversations. But at DataFest Tbilisi 2025, we want to look past the buzzwords and bold promises to explore what AI truly means for people, industries, and society.’

The three-day festival will delve into a wide spectrum of topics, moving beyond superficial discussions to address the practicalities and ethical considerations of AI. Key areas of discussion will include:

Technologies: Participants can expect insights into the latest advancements in AI, machine learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), MLOps, data engineering, and the burgeoning field of quantum computing.

Business and Startups: The agenda will cover how AI products are developed, scaled, and their transformative impact on the business world, focusing on what’s ‘actually working in production’ and which models ‘deliver value’.

Art: The festival will explore the intersection of creativity and technology, showcasing generative design and AI-driven art.

Society: Critical discussions will revolve around the ethics of AI, regulatory frameworks, the development of digital skills, the future of work in an AI-driven world, and the principles of responsible AI. This includes addressing questions like ‘How is it being used responsibly?’ and ‘Who’s being left out of the conversation?’

Since its inception in 2017, DataFest Tbilisi has established itself as a vital platform for data professionals. Over the years, it has welcomed nearly 6,000 participants from 80 countries, hosted more than 300 workshops, and featured over 310 speakers. The festival consistently attracts local experts and international guests from leading technology companies such as Microsoft, Canva, Meta, Wix, Apple, IBM, and Volvo.

DataFest Tbilisi 2025 is designed to be more than just a tech conference; it’s a hub for ‘diverse people and bold ideas,’ fostering fresh thinking and collaborative efforts to imagine better technologies for tomorrow.
