Informatica Enhances Oracle Cloud Offerings to Accelerate Enterprise AI Development

TLDR: Informatica is significantly expanding its collaboration with Oracle, introducing new deployment options and integrations on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to accelerate AI adoption and streamline AI development for enterprises. Key initiatives include a ‘Blueprint for Agentic AI on OCI,’ support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), native Master Data Management (MDM) SaaS on OCI, and the availability of Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) on Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer.

Informatica, a leader in enterprise AI-powered cloud data management, has announced a major expansion of its strategic collaboration with Oracle, unveiling a suite of new deployment options and integrations designed to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption and streamline AI development on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This announcement, made on October 14, 2025, marks a significant step towards enabling Oracle customers to unify and govern trusted master records, optimize data processes for AI initiatives, and expedite the time-to-value for agent-driven applications deployed on OCI.

The expanded offerings encompass four key elements:

1. Blueprint for Agentic AI on OCI: This new AI-driven cloud data management framework is specifically optimized for building and deploying agent-driven applications on Oracle’s cloud. It features no-code connectors, prebuilt recipes, and a rich API layer, all designed to accelerate the development of AI agents that require real-time data access. This blueprint is now generally available.

2. IDMC Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server Support: Informatica will support the open industry-standard Model Context Protocol through a new dedicated MCP server within its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform. This server will enable AI agents to directly access Informatica’s comprehensive data management tools via MCP, facilitating secure connection and interaction with external data sources and tools. The MCP server is scheduled to be available in April, with specific support for Claire Agents planned for April 2026.

3. Native Master Data Management (MDM) SaaS on OCI: Informatica’s Master Data Management Software-as-a-Service is now natively available on OCI. This provides Oracle customers with direct access to Informatica’s MDM services across various domains, including customer, supplier, product, patient, and provider records, ensuring unified and trusted data with enterprise-grade security and cloud-native efficiency. MDM on OCI will be available starting November 2025 on Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer (DRCC) PoDs.

4. IDMC on Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer: Organizations can now deploy the full Informatica IDMC suite within their private OCI environments via Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer. This solution allows customers to run the entire IDMC platform, including MDM, data governance, and other services, in a sovereign cloud environment, addressing stringent regulatory and data-residency requirements. IDMC support for DRCC is now generally available.

These enhancements are strategically designed to help enterprises establish a single source of truth across hybrid environments, streamline AI data flows, and simplify the process for partners and integrators to build sophisticated AI applications.

David Hicks, Group Vice President, ISV Ecosystem, Oracle North America, emphasized the importance of trusted data platforms for AI, stating, “Customers are looking for trusted data platforms to unlock the full potential of AI. With Informatica expanding its OCI-native capabilities, organizations can unify and govern enterprise data more effectively, streamline agentic AI development, and accelerate time-to-value.”

Rik Tamm-Daniels, GVP, Ecosystems & Technology, Informatica, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the shift from experimentation to production-grade AI outcomes. “Customers want to move from AI experimentation to scaled, production-grade outcomes with trust,” said Tamm-Daniels. “By bringing an agentic AI blueprint, native MDM on OCI, MCP interoperability, and sovereign-cloud deployments together, we’re giving Oracle customers a fast on-ramp to intelligent and high-quality trusted data for AI across practically any cloud environment.”
