Cerebras Systems Secures $1.1 Billion in Series G Funding, Reaching $8.1 Billion Valuation to Propel AI Infrastructure Expansion

TLDR: Cerebras Systems, a leading AI chipmaker, has successfully closed an oversubscribed $1.1 billion Series G funding round, elevating its post-money valuation to $8.1 billion. The substantial investment, led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Atreides Management, is earmarked for accelerating the company’s advancements in AI processor design, system innovation, and significantly expanding its U.S. manufacturing and data center capacities to meet surging demand for its high-performance AI inference services.

Sunnyvale, CA – September 30, 2025 – Cerebras Systems, a pioneer in AI infrastructure, today announced the completion of an oversubscribed $1.1 billion Series G funding round, bringing its post-money valuation to an impressive $8.1 billion. This significant capital infusion underscores strong investor confidence in Cerebras’s cutting-edge AI processor technology and its strategic position in the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence market.

The funding round was anchored by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Atreides Management. It also saw substantial participation from a consortium of prominent investors including Tiger Global, Valor Equity Partners, and 1789 Capital, alongside continued support from existing backers such as Altimeter, Alpha Wave, and Benchmark. Citigroup and Barclays Capital served as joint placement agents for the transaction.

Cerebras Systems plans to strategically deploy these funds to further expand its pioneering technology portfolio. This includes continued inventions in AI processor design, advanced packaging, sophisticated system design, and the development of next-generation AI supercomputers. A key focus will also be on significantly boosting its U.S. manufacturing capacity and expanding its U.S. data center footprint to keep pace with the explosive demand for Cerebras products and services.

Andrew Feldman, co-founder and CEO of Cerebras, commented on the achievement, stating, “From our inception we have been backed by the most knowledgeable investors in the industry. They have seen the historic opportunity that is AI and have chosen to invest in Cerebras. We are proud to expand our consortium of best-in-world investors.”

The company has demonstrated extraordinary growth since launching its inference service in late 2024. Cerebras boasts the fastest AI infrastructure in the industry, routinely delivering speeds more than 20 times faster than Nvidia GPUs on both open-source and closed-source models. This performance advantage has led to massive demand, with the company now serving trillions of tokens per month across its own cloud, customer premises, and partner platforms. Its ultra-high-speed inference capabilities have also driven over 5 million monthly requests on Hugging Face Inc., positioning Cerebras as the top provider on the leading AI hub for developers.

Cerebras is renowned for its wafer-scale processors, dinner-plate-sized chips specifically engineered to accelerate AI training and inference. To address the escalating demand, the company announced in March the deployment of its wafer-scale chips across six new cloud data centers in North America and France.

Dhiraj Mallick, chief operating officer of Cerebras Systems, emphasized the company’s role in the AI landscape: “Cerebras is turbocharging the future of U.S. AI leadership with unmatched performance, scale and efficiency — these new global data centers will serve as the backbone for the next wave of AI innovation.”
