ServiceNow Unveils AI-Focused University in India to Upskill One Million Learners

ServiceNow, the global AI platform for business transformation, officially launched ServiceNow University in India on September 25, 2025, with the ambitious goal of upskilling one million learners in AI by 2027. This initiative is designed to bridge critical skills gaps in an increasingly AI-driven world, contributing to ServiceNow’s global target of reaching three million learners worldwide.

The innovative learning experience was unveiled at the inaugural ServiceNow AI Skills Summit in Hyderabad, which saw significant participation with 1,200 students attending in person and over 20,000 joining virtually across India. The event also included representatives from key educational and governmental bodies such as AICTE, the Ministry of Education, FutureSkills Prime, NASSCOM, and the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, alongside academic and ecosystem partners.

ServiceNow University offers free, on-demand courses that transform learning into an engaging, gamified journey. Key features include assessments and digital credentials, allowing learners to earn points, badges, and ranks to showcase their growth and development. The platform incorporates AI-powered personalization through “The University of You,” which delivers tailored content and tracks achievements, ensuring a customized learning experience.

The curriculum is designed with bite-sized content covering both technical and human skills, featuring a robust AI pathway to help learners understand, utilize, and lead with AI. It also provides India-focused role pathways for various professionals, including Administrators, Developers, Implementers, Platform Owners, and SecOps, aligning with fast-growing careers in software development, data engineering, and web development.

This launch comes at a crucial time, as the 2025 ServiceNow AI Skills Research predicts that Agentic AI is expected to reshape over 10.35 million jobs in India by 2030. Concurrently, India is projected to add three million new tech workers over the next five years, driven by the AI wave. Industries like manufacturing, retail, and education are already experiencing significant workforce shifts, with a growing demand for roles that integrate AI, design, and data analytics. The Government of India’s National Skill Gap Study highlights severe shortages, with unmet demand for 200,000–225,000 Data Engineers and 40,000–50,000 Data Security professionals. ServiceNow University aims to directly address these critical skill deficits.
