Nebius Unveils Global Awards to Champion Robotics and Physical AI Innovation

TLDR: Nebius has launched the ‘Nebius Robotics and Physical AI Awards,’ a new global initiative to identify and celebrate groundbreaking startups and scale-ups in robotics and vision AI. The awards offer significant prizes, including up to $100,000 in compute credits, and aim to accelerate advancements in physical AI across various critical categories.

Amsterdam-headquartered technology firm Nebius, a key player in providing full-stack infrastructure for the global AI industry, has announced a major new initiative: the ‘Nebius Robotics and Physical AI Awards.’ This global program is designed to discover and recognize pioneering startups and scale-ups that are shaping the future of robotics and vision AI systems. The awards seek to highlight companies pushing the boundaries of physical AI, encompassing areas such as embodied robotics, autonomous systems, and streaming video analytics, all of which are crucial for observing, understanding, and automating the physical world.

The culmination of this initiative will be the ‘Nebius Robotics and Physical AI Summit & Awards Ceremony,’ scheduled to take place at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, on December 9, 2025. Winners will receive substantial support, including up to $100,000 in compute credits for Nebius AI Cloud, which is powered by NVIDIA AI infrastructure. Beyond financial incentives, laureates will gain global visibility and unparalleled access to influential leaders across the technology and research sectors.

The awards program features five distinct categories, each targeting a critical aspect of robotics and physical AI development:

1. Foundation Models, Robot Brains and Runtime: This category focuses on large-scale multimodal AI models, vision-language-action models, and the runtime infrastructure essential for next-generation autonomous systems.

2. Data Engines, Synthetic Data and Simulation: This recognizes innovations in data platforms, synthetic data tools, simulation environments, and digital twins that enable scalable training and validation of AI systems.

3. Industrial Robotics Deployment and Transformation: This highlights large-scale deployments of robots in sectors like logistics, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, and construction, demonstrating measurable ROI and enhanced safety outcomes.

4. Vision AI and Streaming Video Analytics: This category celebrates advanced AI systems for video analytics used in smart cities, industrial monitoring, safety, and compliance.

5. Platforms for Benchmarking, Visualization, and Evaluation: This acknowledges tools and frameworks that establish testing, compliance, and shared standards for the rapidly evolving fields of robotics and physical AI.

An esteemed panel of judges, comprising leaders from Nebius, NVIDIA, and other prominent global technology companies and academic institutions, will evaluate entries. Projects will be assessed based on their technical innovation, real-world implementation, market potential, product-market fit, and responsible impact. The awards ceremony will be complemented by the Nebius Robotics and Physical AI Summit, offering a platform for panel discussions, networking opportunities, and startup showcases, connecting innovators with leading investors, corporate leaders, and researchers.
