CrowdStrike’s Fal.con 2025: CEO George Kurtz Outlines AI-Driven Future for Cybersecurity

TLDR: At Fal.con 2025, CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz declared that artificial intelligence, particularly ‘agentic’ systems, is pivotal for the company to lead the cybersecurity platform market. CrowdStrike introduced the Agentic Security Platform and Agentic Security Workforce, alongside the acquisition of AI guardrails startup Pangea for $260 million, to combat rapidly evolving AI-powered threats and enable an ‘agentic SOC’ capable of responding in seconds.

Las Vegas, September 17, 2025 – CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. is aggressively positioning itself at the forefront of AI-driven cybersecurity, as articulated by CEO George Kurtz at the company’s annual Fal.con 2025 conference. Kurtz emphasized that artificial intelligence is not just transforming the world but also dramatically accelerating the speed of adversary attacks, shifting response times from ‘weeks, then days, then hours and minutes. Now it’s seconds.’ This rapid evolution necessitates a fundamental change in security operations, moving towards what Kurtz terms the ‘agentic SOC’ (Security Operations Center).

To realize this vision, CrowdStrike unveiled two significant agentic systems. The first is the Agentic Security Platform, an AI-ready data layer designed to power the agentic SOC. This platform leverages CrowdStrike’s graph technology with real-time streaming telemetry and millions of expert analyst decisions to create a ‘living, connected model of the enterprise,’ making every data point instantly actionable for both AI agents and human defenders. The second introduction is the Agentic Security Workforce, a suite of ready-made AI agents capable of automating repetitive cybersecurity workflows and accelerating investigations. These agents are directly integrated into Falcon modules and can be customized or expanded through Charlotte AI AgentWorks, a no-code platform enabling customers to build, test, deploy, and orchestrate their own security agents at scale. Kurtz highlighted CrowdStrike’s extensive data repository, stating, ‘CrowdStrike really has the Reddit of data security. We’ve got a treasure trove of security data that goes into our AI agents.’

Further solidifying its commitment to AI security, CrowdStrike announced the acquisition of Pangea, an AI guardrails startup, for approximately $260 million. This strategic move aims to launch AI Detection and Response (AIDR), securing the entire AI lifecycle from development to day-to-day use. Kurtz stated, ‘AI is rewriting the enterprise attack surface at breakneck speed. Each prompt becomes an entry point for the adversary. With Pangea, CrowdStrike will secure the entire AI lifecycle, detecting risks, enforcing safeguards, and ensuring compliance, so our customers can confidently build, deploy, and scale AI without risk.’

Michael Sentonas, President of CrowdStrike, underscored the goal of empowering security analysts with machine-speed support while maintaining human control. ‘Our vision is that every security analyst will be in command of an agentic security workforce that eliminates the time-consuming and repetitive tasks better suited for machines,’ Sentonas remarked. This comprehensive approach, combining advanced platforms, customizable agents, and strategic acquisitions, underscores CrowdStrike’s ambition to become the definitive leader in the evolving landscape of AI-powered cybersecurity.
