Google Australia Launches Campaign Showcasing AI’s Real-World Impact in Healthcare

Launched nationally on September 7, 2025, the campaign is a core component of Google’s overarching creative platform, ‘More’s Possible’.

The initiative features two compelling short films, both directed by Sanjay De Silva of Division. These films adopt a subtle, cinematic, and emotionally grounded tone, designed to immerse viewers in real-world scenarios where AI is making a difference. The primary focus is on how researchers, doctors, and scientists are leveraging Google AI to enhance healthcare outcomes.

One film, titled ‘The Sidelines’, illustrates a doctor’s work in a regional setting, showcasing how AI aids in the early detection of diabetic eye disease. This application of AI is crucial for preventing vision loss and improving patient care in underserved areas. The second film highlights AI’s role in enhancing the effectiveness of hearing devices, demonstrating how technology can significantly improve quality of life for individuals with hearing impairments.

The campaign’s media rollout is extensive, covering broadcast television, BVOD (Broadcaster Video On Demand), YouTube, digital audio platforms, out-of-home advertising, SVOD (Subscription Video On Demand), display networks, and selected print publications. Furthermore, Google Australia is extending the reach of its hearing initiative through a strategic partnership with ‘The Voice’, aiming to amplify the message and engage a broader audience.
