Tredence Unveils Agentic AI Playbook to Drive Enterprise-Wide AI Adoption

TLDR: Tredence Inc., a data analytics and AI services firm, has launched its Agentic AI Playbook, a strategic guide for Chief Data and Analytics Officers (CDAOs) and AI leaders. The playbook aims to help organizations move beyond limited AI pilots to full-scale enterprise adoption by focusing on organizational redesign and a “co-intelligence” operating model where humans and AI agents collaborate on decisions.

Tredence Inc., a prominent data analytics and AI services firm, has introduced its Agentic AI Playbook, a comprehensive strategic guide designed to assist Chief Data and Analytics Officers (CDAOs) and AI leaders in scaling artificial intelligence initiatives across their enterprises. The playbook addresses a critical challenge in AI adoption: the tendency for deployments to get stuck in proof-of-concept or pilot phases, failing to achieve widespread operational integration.

Unlike conventional reports that focus solely on large language models (LLMs), data lakes, or generative AI use cases, Tredence’s playbook emphasizes a more fundamental shift: the necessary organizational redesign required as AI agents begin to make autonomous decisions. Sumit Mehra, CTO and Co-founder of Tredence, highlighted this perspective, stating, “The biggest risk with AI isn’t hallucination—it’s stagnation. Companies are still scaling strategy through use case pilots when they need to be redesigning their orgs for a future where humans and machines act as decision-making peers.” This underscores the playbook’s core thesis that AI represents not merely a technological advancement but a profound shift in operating models.

The Agentic AI Playbook advocates for a “co-intelligence” framework, where AI agents and humans collaborate in real-time decision-making across various functions. This approach moves beyond viewing AI as a simple tool or productivity enhancer, instead positioning it as an integral partner in organizational processes.

The playbook is structured around five strategic lenses:

1. Business Value Realization: This lens focuses on ensuring AI investments yield measurable return on investment (ROI) and sustain stakeholder engagement over time.

2. Human + AI Co-Intelligence: It examines the evolving role of humans in a machine-assisted decision loop, guiding when to lead, collaborate, or delegate to AI.

3. Business Process Reengineering: This goes beyond Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to embed AI agents into workflows from the ground up, optimizing decision intelligence.

4. Technology Evolution: It anticipates future shifts in AI ecosystems, from current Generative AI to quantum-accelerated, edge-native, or small-model environments.

5. Governance & Compliance: This section provides practical guidance for balancing regulatory agility with responsible AI practices as adoption scales.

Each of these lenses is mapped across a maturity curve, outlining immediate actions (next 12 months), new initiatives (2-3 year horizon), and long-term goals for AI-native organizations.

The need for such a guide stems from the observation that many AI pilots fail due to organizational unreadiness, including a lack of clear decision structures, governance, and accountability for human-machine collaboration. Soumendra Mohanty, Tredence’s Chief Strategy Officer, emphasized this point: “As AI agents take on more decisions, leaders must rethink when humans stay in the loop, step back, or reframe the loop entirely.” The playbook is informed by Tredence’s work with Fortune 500 clients, including Nestlé, Mars, and Casey’s, and collaborations with executives from Google Cloud, Snowflake, and Forrester, reflecting real-world challenges and solutions.
