Deutsche Telekom, in collaboration with partners like Crnogorski Telekom, has introduced its latest “T” series devices, the T Phone 3 and T Tablet 2, with a strong emphasis on democratizing artificial intelligence. The initiative, dubbed “AI for everyone,” aims to integrate advanced AI capabilities into everyday mobile devices at an accessible price point.
The T Phone 3 stands out with its integrated AI companion, powered by a permanently integrated Perplexity assistant. Users can activate this AI by pressing a dedicated Magenta AI button, transforming the phone into a versatile personal assistant. This AI device is designed to assist with a wide range of activities, from simple daily tasks to more complex challenges. Its functionalities include acting as a personal secretary for calendar management and email drafting, a language genius for translations, an exclusive travel agency for planning and reservations, a nutritionist and trainer for health advice, a purchasing expert for recommendations, an entertainer for content discovery, and even a tutor for educational support. The powerful AI assistant can provide information on demand, recognize on-screen content, and identify objects through the camera.
The T Tablet 2 also boasts significant AI capabilities, featuring TCL NXT PAPER technology and three screen modes optimized for reading, learning, and creative work. A T-pen stylus is available separately to enhance its utility. Both devices offer powerful performance, improved chipsets, and fast charging. The AI-phone further enhances its camera features with advanced AI tools, such as avatar creation and easy photo background processing, thanks to a partnership with Picsart, which includes a three-month license for Picsart Pro and additional monthly credits.
Affordability is a key aspect of this launch. The T Phone 3 can be obtained for as little as one euro per month with a selected tariff package, and the T Tablet is available in installments. The price includes an 18-month Perplexity Pro subscription, highlighting the premium AI tools included.

The launch aligns with market trends, with IDC forecasting that by 2028, deliveries of smartphones with generative AI capabilities are expected to reach 912 million, representing an average annual growth of 78.4% from 2024 to 2028. Canalys research indicates that growth is driven by increasing demand for AI features and rapid advancements in chipset technology. Kantar Worldpanel ComTech research shows that European users most desire real-time translation, camera improvements, and “circle to search” features, all of which are available on Deutsche Telekom’s AI-phone.

Both the T Phone 3 and T Tablet 2 are available from August 19, 2025, in Telekom branches and online channels. The devices also incorporate sustainable features, with the T Phone 3 receiving a 90/100 Eco Rating and 75% of the T Tablet 2’s back made from recycled plastic.
