TLDR: AI startup Create has successfully raised $8.5 million in funding, including a $5.5 million Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. This capital will fuel the development and scaling of its flagship product, ‘Anything,’ an AI coding agent designed to enable users to build and publish mobile and web applications without traditional coding knowledge. The funding follows a highly successful public debut of ‘Anything’ on August 7, 2025, which garnered significant user adoption and revenue growth.
San Francisco-based AI startup Create has announced a significant funding milestone, securing a total of $8.5 million to accelerate the development of its innovative app-building AI agent, ‘Anything.’ The funding round includes a $5.5 million Series A, spearheaded by Bessemer Venture Partners, with notable participation from Shopify founder Tobi Lütke, Mathilde Collin (Front), Wade Foster (Zapier), Des Traynor (Intercom), Laura Wu (Shippo), and Ben Tossell (Ben’s Bites). This latest investment builds upon a previous $3 million pre-seed round, bringing Create’s total capital raised to $8.5 million.
Create’s flagship product, ‘Anything,’ is an AI coding agent engineered to produce mobile and web applications that are ready for immediate publication on app stores. The company’s mission is to democratize app development, removing the traditional barriers of engineering expertise, backend infrastructure, hosting, and compliance that often hinder individuals from bringing their app ideas to fruition. Co-founders Dhruv Amin, CEO and former YouTube TV Product Manager, and Marcus Lowe, formerly of Google Maps and MIT Media Lab, have spent four years building the robust infrastructure necessary to support this vision.
‘Anything’ made its public debut on August 7, 2025, to an overwhelmingly positive reception. Within just 72 hours of its launch, the platform recorded 3.2 million views and attracted over 30,000 new sign-ups. This viral success led to a tripling of paid subscriptions overnight, pushing Create’s total registered user base to more than 500,000. The startup is now rapidly approaching $1 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
Dhruv Amin highlighted the current landscape of AI coding tools, stating, ‘The vibe coding space is exploding, but everyone hits the same wall with AI coding tools — amazing demo, dead end.’ Create aims to overcome this by delivering a complete solution. David Cowan, a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, echoed this sentiment, remarking, ‘Other tools offer AI-generated code, but Anything delivers a complete solution that’s actually changing who can build software. We’re seeing thousands of people launch real, revenue-generating businesses that would have required engineering teams before.’

The concept of ‘vibe coding,’ popularized by OpenAI Co-founder Andrej Karpathy, involves creating computer programs using plain language descriptions rather than traditional programming languages. ‘Anything’ embodies this principle, enabling users to develop a wide range of applications, from consumer-facing tools like baby monitors to internal enterprise solutions, with the platform capable of handling 20,000 new projects daily.
