New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has rolled out the second edition of its highly anticipated Certificate Programme in Generative AI, offered under its Continuing Education Programme (CEP). This six-month executive online course is meticulously designed for working professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technologies, particularly in response to the escalating demand for skilled AI talent across the globe.
The program, which is set to commence on August 30, 2025, targets a diverse group of professionals including those in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Digital Product Management, and Applied Research. It also welcomes educators and technology enthusiasts looking to transition into advanced AI roles.
The comprehensive curriculum focuses on core areas such as Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and responsible AI practices. Participants will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools like Python, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, and Hugging Face. Advanced modules delve into neural network development, transformer-based architectures, multilingual NLP, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT). The course also covers modern models like GPT, BERT, and T5, alongside new techniques such as instruction tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF), and advanced prompting methods.
The program combines 60 hours of live online instructor-led sessions with self-paced learning, culminating in a 10-hour capstone project that simulates real-world industry applications across sectors like healthcare, finance, education, and autonomous systems. An optional one-day campus immersion at IIT Delhi is also available, providing participants with access to the institution’s world-class academic and research ecosystem.
Eligibility criteria require candidates to hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematical disciplines. Upon successful completion, learners will be conferred with an e-certificate from IIT Delhi CEP. The program fee is Rs 1,79,000 plus taxes.
