TLDR: OneShield has launched its AI Hub, a centralized and secure environment designed to accelerate the development, deployment, and governance of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions within the insurance software ecosystem. This initiative aims to leverage large language models (LLMs) and adhere to industry standards like Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) for enhanced interoperability and efficiency in insurance operations.
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – OneShield, a prominent provider of core insurance technology solutions for property and casualty (P&C) insurers and managing general agents (MGAs), announced on August 7, 2025, the official launch of its OneShield AI Hub. This new platform is touted as the insurance industry’s first centralized environment specifically designed for the secure development, deployment, and governance of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions within the broader insurance software ecosystem.
The OneShield AI Hub is envisioned as a secure, collaborative space where OneShield’s internal teams, clients, and partners can collectively learn, build, and deploy AI solutions meticulously tailored to the OneShield ecosystem. At its inception, the hub will furnish internal teams with a foundational suite of AI agents and tools, all powered by advanced large language models (LLMs). This strategic integration is expected to facilitate the safe, secure, and accelerated delivery of high-impact use cases across various insurance functions.
Doug Moore, Chief Innovation Officer at OneShield, highlighted the groundbreaking nature of the AI Hub’s design, particularly its emphasis on industry-standard interoperability. Moore stated, “What makes the AI Hub special is its intentional design for interoperability and scale. By grounding our use cases in Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) standards, we’re not just automating, we’re laying the foundation for a truly intelligent, collaborative ecosystem across carriers, MGAs, and third-party tools.” This commitment to open standards aims to foster a more connected and efficient insurance landscape.
The OneShield AI Hub will serve as the central repository for various AI use cases currently under development across the company’s core product lines, including OneShield Enterprise (OSE) and OneShield Market Solutions (OMS). Liza Petrie, President of OneShield Enterprise (OSE), provided insight into one of the initial transformative applications: “We’re leveraging AI to rethink how we configure and deploy products fundamentally. One of our first use cases leverages an AI agent that can parse and structure SERFF filings in minutes. What once took hours of manual effort now takes seconds, and this is just the beginning.” This demonstrates a significant leap in operational efficiency.

Rex Blazevich, President of OneShield Market Solutions (OMS), further elaborated on the hub’s benefits, emphasizing its role in streamlining delivery and amplifying the value of existing work. Blazevich noted that “AI use cases like automated claims triage and intelligent policy summarization are already underway.” He added that the AI Hub provides “a shared foundation of tools, security, and governance that accelerates delivery while ensuring quality and compliance,” underscoring the platform’s comprehensive approach to AI integration in the insurance sector.
