TLDR: Salesforce has announced its definitive agreement to acquire Bluebirds, an AI-powered presales prospecting platform. This strategic move aims to significantly enhance Salesforce’s AI capabilities, particularly within its Sales Cloud and Agentforce offerings, by automating lead identification and engagement to boost sales team productivity. The acquisition, expected to close in Q3 FY2026, underscores Salesforce’s ongoing commitment to integrating advanced AI agents across its enterprise solutions.
Salesforce, a global leader in CRM, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bluebirds, an innovative AI-driven presales prospecting platform. This acquisition marks a pivotal step in Salesforce’s broader strategy to ‘agentify’ the enterprise, integrating sophisticated artificial intelligence capabilities directly into its core offerings to streamline and automate critical business processes.
Bluebirds specializes in leveraging agentic AI technology to automate early-stage sales tasks, including lead identification, data enrichment, and signal scoring. Its platform is designed to help sales teams quickly identify and engage with high-potential prospects by combining LinkedIn signals, first-party CRM data, de-anonymized web traffic, and its proprietary data network. The system then assigns a unified signal score to prospects, providing sales representatives with a curated shortlist of leads, complete with personalized messaging suggestions.
Kris Billmaier, EVP and GM of Sales Cloud and Salesforce, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition, stating, “Every sales team wants to spend less time on busywork and more time closing deals. Bluebirds’ technology will help us deliver smarter, AI-powered prospecting that makes sellers more productive from day one, right inside the Salesforce platform.” This sentiment was echoed by Rohan Punamia, CEO of Bluebirds, who added, “We started Bluebirds to help sales teams spend more time selling and less time stitching together disconnected tools.” He noted that joining forces with Salesforce will accelerate Bluebirds’ mission of intelligent prospecting.
Upon completion, Bluebirds’ agentic AI technology will be integrated into Salesforce’s Sales Cloud and Agentforce, aiming to significantly reduce the manual effort involved in prospecting. This integration is expected to empower sales teams, from small businesses to large enterprises, to focus more on closing deals rather than administrative tasks. The acquisition is also seen as a move to strengthen Salesforce’s competitive position in the AI-driven CRM market against rivals like HubSpot.

This marks Bluebirds as Salesforce’s third AI-related acquisition this year, following Convergence.ai and Informatica, signaling a clear trajectory towards making every data-driven process within Salesforce as seamless and intelligent as possible through advanced AI.
