TLDR: Instagram has launched a global marketing campaign called “Anyway” to encourage creativity and risk-taking among its users. Alongside this, the platform is introducing new features, including an AI-powered video editing tool and a funding initiative called “Drafts” to support emerging talent with financial aid and networking opportunities.
Instagram is significantly expanding its commitment to the creator economy with the launch of a new global marketing campaign, “Anyway,” designed to inspire users to embrace creativity and overcome self-doubt. This initiative, announced around mid-2025, aims to position Instagram as a central hub for creative expression and community building. Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, emphasized the platform’s desire to evolve with creativity, stating, “I want Instagram to be a place where you can overcome self-doubt, and just make it, share it, do it anyway.”
Coinciding with the “Anyway” campaign, Instagram is rolling out a suite of new features and products. These include the expansion of “Trial Reels,” allowing all users to experiment with content beyond their immediate followers, and increased flexibility for arranging photos and videos on Instagram grids. Users will also be able to incorporate music into their Notes.
A key development is the enhancement of Instagram’s video editing app, Edits, which now includes a “restyle tool” powered by generative AI. This innovative feature enables users to creatively alter the aesthetic of their content, providing new avenues for visual expression. Furthermore, Instagram is launching “Drafts,” a dedicated initiative to invest in and support emerging talent. Through partnerships with creators like Sailorr and Tyrell Hampton, “Drafts” will offer financial assistance, networking opportunities, and other crucial support to artists and creators at pivotal stages of their careers.

The “Anyway” campaign itself features high-profile creatives such as Tyler, The Creator, Rosalia, Cole Bennett, and Slawn, whose journeys are meant to inspire users to take the leap and share their unique creations. Mosseri noted that these influential voices “embody our mission and remind us that everyone starts somewhere.” This renewed focus on creators comes at a time when the creator economy is experiencing significant growth, and Instagram aims to solidify its role as a leading platform by providing comprehensive tools, funding, and support.
